I like the Dechamps shout - even if he is doing most the advertising himself. He's a cracking prospect and has a Chelsea link. I think it would also be a bit of statement for one of the best clubs in Europe to take a manager that has been sacked.

I was up super early today and Hughes was given a good mention in all four good newspapers so ive bet it back at slightly under what I had laid it at so he is a small loser now. To be honest i think 5/1 is deffo too short,I might lay again if he gets shorter.

From a guy in Spain that sells team news and odds to firms is the story that Ronny got into big trouble pre season with the drink and never really got over it when the season started, he then began to decline rapidly and admitted he was struggling with a drink problem. The club let him get away with too much(timekeeping to his own clock and tossing it off/turning up in a state when training etc etc) before putting its foot down and this soured many of the players as they viewed it as preferential treatment which in turn lead to the manager losing the dressing room.
Ive seen you follow Barca closely Baron, you heard a similar story?
Not far from what you've just written. I hear it goes even further back though. Apparently the Eto'o/Ronaldinho problems from the season before are to do with Eto'o's dislike of how he and other players are treated compared to Ronaldinho in training etc, seeing as it's Ronnie who is the most unprofessional. I would sign Eto'o in a heartbeat but wouldn't touch ronaldinho right now.

I can't understand why there was such strong links with eto'o going to spurs its madness he's world class and one of the best in the world imo he would be a quality signing for anyone of the big 4.If liverpool had him and torres up front and they fit together they really would be title challengers(if rafa played them both that is )

In all seriousness though, Ramos has one massive advantage over Keegan in the market when buying from Spain and to some extent the rest of Europe. He's very highly respected as a manager.

Keegan was a top player and is although not by some on here, respected as a manager I thought a lot of players like to play for a manager who'd actually done it himself therefore is more in touch with a player.

Fair enough. Im just saying that Keegan isn't totally respected on these shores as a manager. Let alone elsewhere. Ramos is widely regarded as very good. My point, before the Keegan wind up, was that Eto'o going to Spurs isn't as ridiculous as it would have been if say Jol was still in charge.

I'd love him at Liverpool but cant see it for the money it'd cost. I hate our owners.
