He's a fucking idiot.

lol.

Sound analysis mate.

Ha sorry Matt. I assumed from your notes that he was creative but good.

I just hate his play. I gotta get to bed so I won't do Mantis style paragraphs on this one.

1) He should fold pre
2) Even folding to the rr pre is close.
3) On the flop he should pass
4) On the turn what the hell is he thinking. His call to bluff you is so -EV it's ridiculous OOP.
5) You should amend your notes on him
6) Hats off, you knew him better than us, wp.
7) You're big.

Way ahead of you there mate. It was whilst amending my notes on him after my session that I realised just how bad his play was.

Thought I'd post it to make sure it wasn't actually brilliant but I hadn't realised.

Thanks again for the input.

I hate the way oppo played this pre...don't like the way he played it on the flop.

don't mind the shove on the river at all, you just found a call where others would have folded...that shows that his river shove will ussually be successful against most oppos.

Me too. We've got the nuts and the board is giving plenty to draw to. Why give it away for free?

Level maybe??

Maybe so you don't inflate the pot too much as there are tonnes of draws out there and you are not that bigga favourite...it would also give a legitimate hand that you are beating (other set) a chance to bet into you on a blank turn?

just thinking obv..not actually agreeing with it but train of thought would be good here.

How could a set bet the turn if we check when villain is OOP against us?

Flops must be levelling.

Omaha Hi: 40 enumerated boards containing
cards                              win   %win  lose  %lose  tie  %tie     EV
       19  47.50    21  52.50    0  0.00  0.475
    two hearts   21  52.50    19  47.50    0  0.00  0.525

I've made it as bad as possible and we're still hardly a big dog.

If we check the turn and one of these draws completes are we just passing when he bets the river? Perhaps the idea is to minimise the amount we could lose?

Are we checking behind on a river that completes any draw? There's only the black or green 8/9 and the other A that are 100% safe cards so we're unlikely to maintain the nuts. I would've thought this was all the more reason to bet unless we're only ever playing the stone cold nuts no matter what.

I really can't understand why we would ever give our oppo a free card here. Seems incredibly negative thinking.

It is flawed logic.

I agree and I would bet..but I'm thinking that that's the reason for checking the turn.
