Trying something a bit different today. A morning session instead of late night session.

Not too sure of how the volume goes so no idea how many I'll play.

Yeah, there's not really the volume at this time on a Sunday. Managed just 10 games while I watched the qualifying for todays Grand Prix. No point playing less than 4 games an hour.

+$150.40
+$155.80 after rakeback

Slices now $159.94

It was the old story of one step forward but two steps back last night.

45 games played
-$652
-$627.7 after rakeback

Current value of slice $97.17

I know it's all standard and what have you, to go up and down, but last night was the end for me. It feels like I've forgotten how to win.

I've had good run at the 45 mans, four months where we made over $5k and one month where we made over $10k. Although with a run of luck there's nothing to stop me making 80 buy-ins (to get the roll back to $3k) in a single day, (has happened before) with the way things are going it feels more likely that we'd busto.

The way to bow out I've decided is to draw a line under things now, and return the stakers the money that I've not yet lost. I had a go but it's a fail, stopping before it becomes a complete fail.

If I were continuing in MTTSNG poker (which I'm definately not) I'd be very tempted to move over to Pokerstars. The only reason to play on FullTilt was the >20% ROIs that were possible. It looks like (to my mind anyway) that this is no longer the case.

Anyway, will see about shipping the funds over now. Sorry it's $97.17 and not $300+, I just couldn't ever seem to win those 20k pots on the final table.

Sorry to see your staking end in this way tank. You were obviously very good at these games, as well as being an absolutely impeccable stakee - the sort of person I actually would have been happy to stake even if you lost the money. (Though your updates are much funnier when you're winning...) I suspect that a decent break would refresh your game sufficiently to make you a good winner again, but it sounds like your decision to pack it in and concentrate on more worthwhile things is a healthy one. Good luck with the real life stuff.

This thread makes me kind of sad,  i think reading about your first 4000 sng challenge really got me interested in poker, it was a superb read as was the second one.  You clearly know what you are doing and if some one like you is struggling what chance have peeps like me got Sad

I hope you keep posting and i hope you change your mind at some point and come back refreshed and hammer the tables ( i so remember the the "comma" days posts).

Gl with your plans ( BTW, i am a teacher/lecturer.....  are you sure  Smiley )

Glad you've called it a day mate. I was never going to ask for the stake back but I had a feeling you weren't enjoying it so well done for stopping.

I've only been playing these mttsng's for a short while but the frustration is unbelievable!!!

You don't mind the bad beats when you get a few binks to even it out but sometimes it seems like the whole world is on your shoulders.

GL with future plans and I'll be seeing you soon.

Monies received Tank, cheers. Totally understand your sentiments. A bad downswing can really dent your confidence.

All the best for the future and glad you're sticking around.
