Now if Ai Miyazato could just do the biz in Thailand the weekend could turn out quite sweetly...

What a final round Karabiner!!

What price was she?  You kept this one quiet Grin

I bet on two ladies in the tourney Micko, Had £100 @ 9/1 on JYS and £25 @ 30/1 on Miyazato.

Incredible final round, even more so considering she was +1 through 2 holes before shooting -10 for the remaining 16 holes including chipping in at the last from 30 feet ftw !

I was as surprised as anyone when I checked the result this morning.

Lovely touch i must watch out for these two this year again.

Had to get on garcia in this 3rd place thingy at evens, i'd assume camillo will be pretty drained and gutted here, whereas garcia never had much of a chance of finalling yesterday, may play more naturally. Not gone in massive but feel it's def worth a punt.

Cheers Phil.

I'm sure that Colchester Kev would like to personally congratulate Ian Poulter when he sees this result too, seeing as how he has always been a great believer in his undoubted golfing ability Wink

Even Kev had to be impressed by that performance ;o)

Its funny in a roundabout way, since Monty became Ryder Cup captain Poulter has been a different player coz he and Monty hate each other with a passion and Poulter knows he will not get a ryder cup pick from Monty. He seems to have made qualifying for the team his main aim this year, so Monty prob turned him into  a better player.

Story behind the hatred?

Story behind the hatred?

I think it developed into a hatred of each other when Poulter came on tour and was pretty disrespectful to a lot of the older pro's. Monty tried to bring him down a peg or too but it just inflammed the sirtuation, Poulter basically told him he was a **** and past it.

When Poulter didnt come back to Europe to play the last qualifying event of the last Ryder Cup, the rumour was that Falso had already told him he was in the team and not to worry, Monty being Monty still beilived he might get a pick and made loads of noise about captain shouldnt show pref treatment to some players and he Poulter should show more respect to the team by trying to qualify himself instead of knowing he had a pick.

The rumour is that Poulte rang Monty and gave him an earful, soon after they were sat at ajoining tables in a restaurant and more angry words were exchanged again.

So if there is any reason for Monty not to pick him he wont, just as Faldo would have hated to have to pick Monty if he had been in decent form ast time, the good thing for Poulter he seems to have been motivated to make sure he gets in the team and take the options for Monty not to pick him away fro Monty.

He won in Asia at the end of last year and ran 2nd to Kaymer a few weeks ago before todays win and seems to really have his head  on again because of it.
