Who fancies whom this week and why ?

I like the look of what appears to me like a resurgent Ernie Els and have availed myself of the 40/1 Laddies are offering.

hi Ralph,

Just doing some work on this now and there seems to be a bit of a lop sided draw this year with 2 of the groups looking to be a little easier to fathom(on papaer at least) than the other two.

My first impressions were the super gunner has a decent draw with some plasyers in pretty poor form around him.

There you go mate, one thing to note is Kuchar pulled out of this weeks US event after 2 rounds, I don't think it was anything serious but if he pulled out I am not sure if his replacement slips into his draw or if the draw is re done. I guess it would be a logistical nightmare to redraw so I am ten on any replacement will take his draw.

The "Snead" looks like the weakest quarter to me but I don't really fancy any of them much Phil.

Thats what I thought too, the top and bottom brackets look the easier.

One other thing I just remembered, Ovilgy's wife gave birth to their 3rd baby last week so there has to be a chance he is not as sharp as he could be or his mind might be elsewhere, the good thing for him is he lives very close to this event so might be able to spend his down time at home but with a new addition that might not help his rest time all that much.

Know nothing about this as I've not watched golf for months!

So for an interest I'm going to follow Blatchy boy with this one:

Harrington @ 30/1
Goose @ 40/1

I'll probably get lesser odds tho, as I'm not the odds hunter that blatchy is

I might pick one more, bobby pick one for me?

Its a bit of a reach Dave but Stewart Cink has had all kinds of trouble driving the ball recently, this course is a little easier for iffy drivers as it is quite open, he ran 2nd to Tiger in this a couple of years ago(on a different course) and I like his draw, so at around 40 on BF I think he could give you a decent run but its wide open so its deffo a small stakes bet.

Ok got 4 bets on atm:

Rory £100@17.5:

obv one of the fav's but he is playing good golf and i think this is one of those events where being young and inexperienced plays into your hands, lag it up kid! Good thing with his draw is except his first round match he might be playing just Europeans till he gets mad deep which will be a good advantage for him.

Stenson £50@34.0:

Not the easiest side of the draw but i feel this reflects the price, excellent past form in this event.

Karlson £50@44.0

Very tough side of the draw imo, is defiantly 'back' though excellent showing 2 weeks ago on the European tour, plz run gooooood.

Villegas £25@85.0

Gotta have a mad LAG in the coup, ridic draw will have to face Johnson, Ogilvy then Stenson (hopefully) could all go horribly wrong when Johnson out driving him tilts him to death.

Now my gem, Ishikawa £25@220.0

Fantastic talent from this youngster, i can't see him fearing anyone, don't see him doubting himself, could easily take to the format extremely well. In short 220 is a ridic price imo. Only tilting thing is he has to play the very exciting prospect of Sim in the first round (what a match that is going to be) then probs Stricker in round 2! Then hopefully Karlson in round 3.

Happy punting.
