Just edging back into playing online now and decided to download Holdem Manager (kinda wow already at this bit of kit n wish I'd used it earlier!).

Anyways, the upshot is that I wanted to use it and so looked back on some leaks.

The hand in question came up against a player with a slightly smaller stack than my own. Although I was very active early on, I have been quiet for some time. I have an M of 19; this is mainly due to a couple of big pots in the last orbit where I killed 2 or 3 all in stacks with premium starting hands. I've also shown (told) a pair of Ladies that I laid down to the chip daddys shove.

On the other hand 'Losfr' for most of the tourny has been fairly tight, but he has clearly moved up through the gears in recent orbits. He has shown a real liking to raising 3x in EP and MP; for the most part has gone unchallenged. Its got to the point where its highly noticeable. (sorry I dunno how to get HUM player stats up)

So the hand played out like this:

I really didn't think he hit trips on the flop and neither did I feel I was facing an overpair; I was very surprised to see him turn the 99.

Where is the biggest mistake I made? Don't hold back!

You are levelling. yes?

You got your chips  in as a massive favourite, got unlucky, and want to know where your mistake was?

options are....

1) fold pre,

2) chk the flop

3) cbet smaller and just flaty when he raises

4) fold when he raises the flop

OR 5) open pre, bet the flop when you flop the effective nuts and get it in when he raises fading just two outs

if this is the biggest leak you had then you really dont need HEM

Check back the flop and look for 'i've-just-binked-a-set-on-the-turn' tells imo.

Thanks Suupr..but this showed up as my biggest leak purely on chips lost. Since then I had more of a play with the various bits n bobs on HEM - although Leak Buster crashed when I tried to install the trail version, so I must have a big un somewhere!!!

haha. well this hand inst a leak, so dont waste ur time busting it imo
