There was a program on tele a few weeks ago that covered this walk.  Apparently there's a pub at one end of the walk (North Sea end I think) where if you've done it, you can get a free pint.  (I'm sure it was something like that).  Did you get your free drink?

Apologies if you've covered this already

Glad this got bumped up as I read it straight thru with only a break for the school run. Impressive stuff. Just wondered if Tikay ever got round to walking the croft with Tom?

Bugger.

Added to Bucket List.

We might have to have a +1 now - Gill is on a keep fit fad, & she loves nature stuff, so she might want to come too.

She started jogging a few months ago, & has slowly worked up to 8 mile runs now. She is not built for running, and it half kills her, but she has a steely determination & won't give up.

She's started "interval training" style running now, sprints & rests. She does it in a local wildlife area, & I get little notes every night, "saw a heron, said hello to a squirrel & a duck". And she really does talk to animals. We always have apples & carrots in the boot when we go for a ride, so we can stop & feed horses, sheep, goats or whatever. And she TALKS TO THEM. We go feed the swans, geese & mallards on the Thames most weekends she is here, too.

"Hello horsey, ooh, don't be rough, be nice to each other".

Geese can be vicious little buggers, so she tells them if if they cut up rough with each other.

"Stop it Mr Goose, stop that right now".

Daft as a brush. Lovely daft, mind.

I asked Tony if he was worried about possible health risks when sleeping with a fit bird like Gill and he said, 'If she dies, she dies'.

Proper made I chuckle that.

I misread that at first and thought 'Gill looked quite slim in the photos I saw'
