lol are you kidding me? 2 pair/weaker flush draw/lower set/any mediocre straight draw.. all these combo's are likely to have some vested interest at these stakes... and the worst thing you can do is check, hoping people bet and then letting some filthy gutshot find its way into the lead.
At these stakes, people are callers rather then betters. They create reasons to call. "hmm, wonder what he has, I have 2 pair, what can I beat? oh I know, he either has a straight draw or the nut flush draw, therefore I will call" or if they have a lower flush draw they will say "hmmm, I put him on a set or 2 pair, therefore if I call and hit my flush I will take a nice pot" get the drift?
If you pot, and people fold, it happens (rarely in multiway pots like this) but them you think to yourself "oh well, if they cant call a pot bet on the flop, its highly unlikely for them to catch someone on the turn/river that will give them a second best hand willing to committ ALL their chips to" (which is quite important, as you cant make some huge overbet on the river with some nut hand because its PL.. and pots dont grow themselves against calling stations)
One thing is almost for sure though, If you have ideas of checking to raise if someone bets.... then that same person is going to raise a very high % of the time, and at least call 99.9% of the time, even if you bet..so you are just building the pot to get the chips in sooner rather then later.
