Ginger, darling (Flushie go away please) surely these days with the sealed bottles used for such condiments the need to keep Ketchup in the fridge is outdated?

I am glad you are a Ketchup on bacon sarnies girl but IMHO it needs to beat ambient temperature not chilled as this conflicts with the taste of the bacon.

Good question

I've just checked in my fridge and found a bottle of salad cream I'd forgotten about tucked away at the back. Now, reading the label it appears you should refrigerate after opening and then consume within 1 month. Is this just a suggestion or are they serious? It looks fine to me but I don't really want to eat it if it's poisonous

My marmite addiction is not my fault. I was exposed as a child and it changed my dna structure, so now I need it.

KFC does the same thing, every 3 months, I HAVE to have a KFC.

Gatso.. live a little, they only say that so you buy more.

I used to like this place but now 3 of you in the last 3 minutes  have tried to persuade me to eat poisoned food. I'm off to buy some fags, at least I know they won't go out of date and kill me

My last phone call with NHS direct, a Sunday afternoon 5pm

" I have an eight year old who has just trod in a wasps nest. He has 30 stings"

"Oh that sounds nasty"

"Yes, I have applied anti histamine cream but there are a lot of stings, he is feeling faint. Should I take him to casualty?"

"Hold on" Cue Music. Wham: Club Tropicana

two minutes later

"Find a chemist and buy this anti histamine"

"I have already done that and there are no chemists open here at 5pm on a Sunday"

"Oh"

"Casualty?"

"Well why not!"

thanks!!!!

NHS Direct

They got Hammersmith hospital to pump me full of Heparin (anti coagullant) and kept me in hosp. for 3 days over a ripped calf muscle.

The calf muscle couldn't clot so it bled into my leg for a week.

Result:

4 weeks on crutches
6 weeks of physio
8 weeks off work
