Hi All,
Went to the Circus Card Room (Manchester) to meet up with a few friends and catch up really 2 weeks in Vegas seemed like a lifetime.
As we stood their talking boll**ks as usual Mr Gosney walks in, the room went quite and he was swamped with well wishers pats on back hand shakes all round which been the calm guy he is was no problem to the new superstar.
I managed to grab a few moments with him as he talked about the week after the win, interviews,drink,new friends,drink ect.
As he stood there a young guy approached him and said "hi er just wondered do you have on you" LG "got what?"
YG "your brecelet" LG "no son i keep in a safe place,well i keep under my pillow and every night i stroke it 3 times,then i look at the bracelet i think how lucky i am" as we cracked up the young poker player walked away with a puzzled look.
I got knocked out early think he was doing OK but somehow playing a quite game of poker may be a problem for awhile with his new found stardom.
But i'm sure he will take all in his stride.
Proves one thing nice guys can come first
