me and about 6 of my mates got jobs as labourers at the millenium dome when we left school in 97, thats why it was no good, we ruined it.

this is a true story though.

my mate knew the foreman really well and hed let him drive jeeps around the site to pick people up.(he was only 16)

he convinced this other guy that didnt know him but had seen him driving the jeeps that he could drive this mini dumper thing ,i dont remember exactly what it was.

This was the day that some cabenit ministers and other "important people" were turning up .

this convoy is driving down one of the streets inspecting the surounding area and my mate is driving the wrong way down it right at em!(the roads wernt open to the public so you could usualy drive anyway you liked)

As hes clocked them hes stopped 50 yards ahead of them but in the process of doing so stalled the dumper.

the site managers and foreman are screaming at him all the workers (especially us) were laughing and jeering him.

All these guys in suits are out the cars and wandering aroung trying to find out whats going on.

My mate came up with the perfect solution though, the personification of calmness in this time of crisis.

he wrapped his green workmans jacket round his head and legged it!! I mean he flew across the site not beind able to see where his going properly.

all this in veiw if the cabenit ministers.

I have no idea how it was explained to them, boy it was funny to see.

I'm in Warwick (midlands) but I would still vote for Blackpool. Something like this just has to be there. It was suggested sometime ago that the whole front be turned into mini Vegas and I think that's an excellent idea.

It's all a waste of time though as we know its going to London. I don't know why they let all the bidders waste their time and money in this charade.

there used to be a touney in the workingmens clup opposite blackheath rugby club on a thursday night i dont think they run it anymore.

i know where theres private games in downham, catford,sydnem, bexlyheath and plumstead if your interested though.
