NECS = North East Charity Shield - a £10 Rebuy No Limit Hold'em Tournament.
NECC = North East Charity Cup - a £10 Rebuy Pot Limit Hold'em Tournament.

The NECS is in its 5th year this year and the NECC in its 3rd.

The NECS launched Poker4Charity and ultimately Game for Life.

Its where it all started. A lot of people will never be anywhere other than Newcastle on August Bank Holiday Weekend.

To Quote Joe Beevers 'To some people the highlight of their poker year is the WPT Championship, I've done that. To others its the main event at the WSOP, I've done that. THe one event I look forward to each year is the NECS.'
