I was wondering what sort of bankroll you would need to play at these limits (assuming that you buy in with around 1000) in order to make most money long term and not run serious risk of going broke.

Any thoughts or advice would be much appreciated.    Wink

Hi Monkey,

I am afraid I can't answer your question, but I am sure a few of the blondeites will.

But welcome to blonde, and enjoy.

Please see the thread under General Dicussion "What's in a name".

Take care Monkey.

that sounds about right....  also are you going to multi table?   Some guys play 5 or 6 tables and having a high % of ur roll in play at any one time not ideal if u are prone to the odd tilt.

Generally the most I ever play is two tables. Because I mainly play six-handed and the action can be quite frenetic at times, I find two tables to be the maximum that I can really concentrate on.
I am prone to the odd tilt, but less so than before. I mostly sit out, play a quick tourney or go off and watch TV if I think i'm tilting nowadays.

I imagine that you're right with the 25k RF (what happened to your blog BTW?), as having no more than about 10% of my money in play at any one time seems to be the right amount.

So that'll have to be my longterm target, maybe picking my games well and playing 2/5 most of the time in the meanwhile till I build it up sufficiently.

Cheers folks.

P.S. Thanks for the welcome Tikay. Couldn't find the post you mentioned though, looked 6 pages back and did a search too. Has it been deleted maybe???

I play Betfair nowadays and the screen name is Monkey66 (of course...). Not to be confused with the other monkey on there, Monkey101 (no, I'm not making this up, we're occasionally at the same table always prompting the 'I'm at a table full of monkeys' comment by someone).

I know a few people from Betfair post on here, as it was Ariston who sent me to Blondepoker in the first place....
