I would like to expand this the the "best World poker player" then nominate:

Matt "monkey boy" Doyle.

At least thats what i tell myself everytime i sit down to play a tournament - otherwise there's no point in entering......

There are easier ways to apply for legal aid in the UK, i'm sure if you google search you'll come up with a better alternative.......

That's true RED. But I can't spell  Cheesy.  My Google tool bar doesn't correct that one for me

It's not you sark, it's tikay that's wrong, but he won't listen

lol  That's why I use Blondite.   Blondite just sounds better than blondeite.

If a Blondite wins the WSOP this year, this thread may look very different.  It may be matt674 that everyone is suggesting rather than Ram.  I think it is impossible to say for sure because it changes from year to year.  A few years later it may be Claw, then Ironside or Kev.  Who knows what the future holds.

Claw

I've edited your post Sark - there were a lot of superfluous words in it!

Best current live player would be Mickey for me for what he acheived last year, you cant do what he did by not being a great player. Ram probably has the most natural talent but has not been focussed imo, meybe he makes to much easy money online.

Ok, so if i have to vote for somebody else then i would probably have to vote for the same people i voted for in the 2005 player of the year thread - near the bottom of page one.

http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=4936.0

to be honest i think they've had just as good a year this year so i will probably vote for them again at the end of 2006, and then again the following year and so on...........

There Is one player who has been to more festivals than most, and has NOT had a losing tour yet...

Ladies and Gentleman i give you ..... COLCHESTER KEV !!

PS. He is non returnable Wink

sorry to be boring but i feel Ram is the best player the UK has to offer.  I also agree with comments above that the best players aren't the ones at the top of the rankings as you literally have to play week in week out in every comp to get to the top of that list.  No discredit to Micky Wernick - he too is an excellent player and he manages to get to every event so he more than deserves his number 1 spot.
