I gave a manager on BPL my account password to look into a discrepancy in my account 15min ago and was told to log back in in 10 min. now i can't log in at all as it says my password doesn't match up and as such i can't talk to a manager. Is there any way of talking to a manager or can someone ping them and ask them to sort out 'zispin!' account. All help would be appreciated.

Zispin - I'm not happy about this. You should NEVER have to give out your password.

Did you have money in that account?

Were any cards registered?

Who was the manager responsible?

What is your account username?

Are you sure they wanted your password and not your pin?

Aaron, I was having to sort out a Bowman's problem last week. I didn't have my pin number and had to give them my password, they then asked me my security Q and gave me my pin number.

You shouldn't have to give passwords out. A lot of companies make a point of telling you not to give passwords to anyone, even them, and that they would never ask you for your password.

Not saying that it's dodgy but, well, it's dodgy.   If the network can't sort your account out without asking you for your password then they should review their policies.

Ok,

In Zispin's case everything was ok. Long story but the manager was helping him out and then asked him to change his password after so that they didn't know it any longer.

In 99% of cases though I have to agree with Silo - don't go giving it out.

Robert I will check up on your case also but I'd imagine it just sped things up. Please change it now though.

For future refrence your pin is different - that can be given out.
