I sometimes fall out with pokerstars and venture elsewhere for my net poker experiences but every time i go back i chuckle at just how rude all the players are and how they constantly insult each other.  Look at this torrent i had to suffer from a 'Conky'.  Here is the chat record.

CONKY: retarded ****ing moron
Garageflower: lol
Garageflower: live with it
CONKY: docuhebag ****ing calling station idiot
CONKY: **** you retard
Garageflower: haha
Dealer: Garageflower, it's your turn. You have 15 seconds to act
Garageflower: Do you have a problem?
CONKY: that was your last mistake
CONKY: understand??
CONKY: your last stupid call
CONKY: **** you moron
CONKY: raising 3 3 Huh?
CONKY [observer]: unbeliieveable
CONKY [observer]: you two do not deserve a dime from this tourney
CONKY [observer]: loose ****ing morons

Anyone else think stars has generally more abusive players? - and imagine if this king of abuse went on in live tounaments. - thoughts.

1. Mute chat or
2. Report to support@Pokerstars.com

3. If it was live I doubt if they would say boo to a goose!

Party has its fair share too. Generally from a certain country.

I think this is probably an American trait as you seem to get on most of the sites that are populated by Yanks. There are alot of macho jocks/knuckleheads who think the gave is all about bravado rather than skill and they kick off if they get outdrawn.

My favourite/most disturbing abuse (depending on your point of view!) was

'I hope you f****goldstar die of AIDS you f****goldstar faggott bi**ch'

Caused plenty of amusement on the table!

I dont mind playing with guys like that.   First of all you cant help but laugh at them and 2nd once youve got them pegged they are easy to put on tilt.   Especially effective at the cash tables.

I've only seen anything really offensive once... the guy was being very abusive and totally racist.   Someone reported him and he got banned!

Report it to PokerStars and they will deal with the matter. They will also do it quickre than any other site on the internet is my belief. It is not only PS, just go and play on Party Poker and many other of the large sites. The other sites will have less abuse if they have less players!! I think the key thing is how each site deal with it.
Also look at user ID's. I am currently playing on Party with ThroatKicker, OSAMA747 and pukingblood. Most sites would not allow ANY of those names! Of course the size of the site is not relevant to user name but you know what I mean.

You can always mute chat, report them, or, if you are in the mood, wind them up even more.

The worst guy I've run into was an American on Pacific. The Americans seem to be big on the faggot and mom insults.

Usually I find it works to tell them I think it's wonderful that America is so advanced, they have internet access in trailers.

What amazes me is that sites allow observer comments, even in the latter stages of big tournaments. There's been a few times I've looked in on a final table and the chat window is just a stream of childish insults and inane comments.

If folks stick grossly offensive stuff in the Chat Box, you should report it to Support. It's your DUTY so to do. I used to play a great deal on Stars (too busy since blonde & all that) but I would ALWAYS e-Mail Support, they would send me a "we will investigate" reply within 2 minutes, and a "we have revoked chat facilities/warned them/ whatever" follow-up within 15 minutes.

It could be your Missus or Kids who see the offensive post next time. If we don't do our bit, how can we complain about falling standards? Most of the Major Cardrooms want their sites to be user-friendly, but they need us to help.

Poker's supposed to be fun, not an insult throwing contest.

Worst abuse I have every received online was whilst playing on William Hill where one young man from the North East area (maybe Stockport or Bolton) spent almost an hour telling me I was gay, a nigger and a Jew. He also repeatably told me how he was going to kick my arse. It got such a stage I simply told him that if he would like to introduce himself to me at the next Blackpool festival I would be more than happy to discuss this matter further. Sadly he declined. Amazing how tough people are whilst hiding behind their PC's yet not so bold in person. So if anybody knows (something)donkey on the William Hills site from the North West please introduce me to him because whilst I would normally just laugh at such people he does deserve a good slapping.

I get stacks of abuse from players on every site I play. This is usually after I have eliminated a rock/solid type player with a "creative" or "sophisticated" play. Usually starts with "how can you call wil xx" ( I have usually raised and called on pot odds or reraised- I rarely just call) and then quickly turns into the usual faggot/gayboy/usless knut type comments. I have recently started asking them to speak up as I can't hear them from the lobby lol. Make sure you make notes on these players and remind them of the beating you gave them next time they are sat in a tourney with you- that usually makes sure they target you and you cant beat soft chips.
