Just a mini update from Dublin.....

I'm through to day 2 but with less chips than i hoped. I played mistake free poker for 7.5 hours making some sick calls and always been right AND I didn't have any hands. I got to 25k from a 10k stack no problem and then donated 15k in the last half an hour. I turned 2 pair but something wasn't right but I still paid his top set off. Shame I knew the 2 pair was no good one mistake is all it takes though.

Still in with 10,375 chips and the blinds start at 200/400-25 when I go back so gonna have to get busier a bit earlier than I had imagined. Was playing like a rock and my table image is VERY good so still very confident in this superbly structured tournament.

Just a few chip counts I know of as I left pretty sharpish last night:

Joe Beevers - 15k (on my table playing well but had a bad last hour like me)
Paul Leckey - 25k+ (was down to 3k but has played brilliantly to build back up)

Mel Judah - 9k
Tommy 'Toolbox' - 2k
Thewy - 5k

Ram, Badgirl, ActionJack, Dave Lloyd, Stephen Hendry, Dave Colclough all still in that I know of.

'b4matt' went out just near the end not sure how.

I went early today doubled up early on when i flopped a set of vs mateyboys KK. Then had nightmare timing as i found myself running into monsters. Went all the way back to 9k and I made it 1800 with  and Joe Beevers in the bb had a dwell before setting me in. I call and he flips over  and I get flushed on the river.

Great tournament and I thought I played as well as I could without having any decent hands. A lot of the irish players are lunatics and can gift their chips at any point ( got to be careful of the good players though as they can be very crafty!) and i didn't get any gifts at all.

whufc we have an agreement with blonde that we don't cut and paste from each other. At least correct the spellings before you do it Smiley

Good luck to Greg Hemphill - I knew he played poker but I never knew if he was any good he came to a Cltic Supporters function I organised a few years back after meeting him in a pub in the gallowgate I thought he was only humouring me at the time he said he would come.
