Dazzling Con Cronin starts off the day in dazzling form with a 15-20k pot.

With a board of three clubs , Con's 4k bet finds a caller and he confidently flips over . His non-believing opponent mucks.

Here's our second elimination of the day, Buddy, resigned to the rail, but still in good spirits.

This guy's only been playing for a couple of years, but he's already making some good headway with a few nice cashes. Run into some bad luck this year, but he's highly rated and ought to win a big event in the near future.

Screams of 'Go on the Shrew!' from Chubbs.

Flopsy's on his way.

They're dropping like flies here.

Now Burnely John's bitten the dust.

Pocket snowmen versus D 'Magic' Sami's Ace Jack, which paired up on both accounts.

Incidentally, John wasn't too chuffed with his 'This is why you shouldn't you do drugs, kids'

So, watch out Mr A Anonymous from England.

The reason for Simon's scream?

Nick 'Smither's Witten doubles up with A-8 v A-T, 8 on the flop.

Unfortunately, he was only on 5k at the time.

Why was he on 5k.

Ran Jacks into those dreaded Bullets (pow pow)

Nick 'The Shrew' in double double-up news now, down to 5k he spiked an eight when his A8 was behind to AT. And just now he's double up to about 20k now when his AJ beat Chubbs' KJ.

Rudders takes a few chips off Dan Samson.

8-6 v 7-5 on an 8-6-K-3-4 board.

Prize structure:

1st = £38,100
2nd = £23,300
3rd = £13,600
4th = £9,900
5th = £6,600
6th = £5,000
7th = £3,700
8th = £3,200
9th = £2,600

What do you lot think about the structure?

I caught sight of an article by Lucy Rokache in this month's CardPlayer Europe in which she slated the idea of a flatter structure. Did anyone else read that? Thoughts? I genuinely disagreed with the majority of what she said.

Kev was here at 2pm, but I haven't seen or heard from him in a while. He's seems to be keeping pretty quiet today, which is unusual. Give him time...

This is the ever-dangerous Ali Mallu leading a Krypton Factor-esque (remember that show?) line-up.

Can't believe they gave the women a headstart in the obstacle race, talk about sexism!!

This is the table you want to be on if you're looking for entertainment.

Chubbs, Yongsta, Smither, Kings, and RED-DOG. All having a hoot and making this a fun day.

I'm a bit disappointed that Tom doesn't have his big RED-DOG sitting on his cards though as a card protector. Bah!
