And we're down one Sami Torbey - eliminated by Henri Boutboul with against his .
The board: K Q A 2 3.

It also appears that Daniel Lellouche is out... the numbers on the screen would tally that - it says we're down to 22, but before I had time to scan the room properly, a mini-press-crackdown occurred and I retreated before the cameras.

"mini press crackdown"........

Have we been banished so that the WPT TV peeps, who are always a PITA, can shoot endless clips which will never be shown?

Let's set the scene with some pictures of the remaining players - some of whom you'll know and some you'll know in a minute:

Firstly John Jerney, Kenneth Strandli and Patrice Boudet.  John is wearing a T-shirt kind of embossed with an elaborate gold design with 'USA' at the top.  I think he might be an American.

No no, actually the next time that happened, the announcer floorman kindly allowed me to stay taking my pictures on Tikay's humble digital camera.  For which I am eternally grateful.  The French can be helpful!

Philip Yeh and Daniel Bertelsen - we got the impression Philip might get involved quite a bit today - and he had a fabulous chip tower in creation last night.  In the background lurks Phil Hellmuth, in his traditional Frozen Pose

Thomas Wahlroos, one of my picks for the day - his record in quite a short space of time is quite extraordinary - and I reckon with a chip stack like that he may well be a candidate for the Final.  Which is why I picked him, obviously.

It really is quite odd the way Mr Hellmuth sits at the table statue-like - not a muscle moves, he's almost robotic.

Jani Sointula, idiosyncratic Finn, next to Christian Grundtvig, then a slice of James Davenport's face and the red checked shirt of Henrik Witt.  When the floorman was trying to clear the room of extraneous press, Henrik said, "players too.  Get rid of the other ones."

Greetings New Member Samurai Tony (ritual passing of half-empty bottle of coke, asking how it's been going online).  Now you can see my amateurish photos!

I am praying I get to lock horns with helmuth in one of my 7 events at the wsop. I just want him to try and intimidate me or give me the verbals once, pleaaaassssseeeeeeeee. I do hope he does well today though as love him or hate him he is certainly good for TV and good for the profile of the WPT in Europe (maybe we will get more WPTs over here in the future- I hear theres a big new card room opening in England soon, would be perfect for a WPT).

And Christian Grundtvig eliminates James Davenport in 22nd place - a 225k pot with a stroke of bad luck for the disappointed American, it sounds like...

I was trying to eavesdrop on him talking to Rolf, and I think there was something about his being called with 6 3 and rivering something...anyway he's kindly offered to share the information as I don't feel like bothering James at this point.  Tough luck late on is tougher, somehow.
