As most of you know, blonde crashed yesterday, we were offline for some 10 or 12 hours. Explanations have been offered elsewhere, I believe, & I could not get online myself for the last 12 hours due to Broadband problems.

We changed "Hosts" a few months back to "FastHost" & thus far, combined with Bream & Sparks, the service has been faultless, indeed this was our first major outage under the new regime.

It also cost us the Day Three of the Live Update, so a bad day, one way & another.

Not our fault, but it was our responsibility.

We are very sorry.

darn - and here's me thinking that this would be another quip about how those with fairer coloured fur are slightly less intelligent than us darker furred creatures.

Must grumble Sad

i think this might have been part of the problem

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/bristol/5116120.stm

blondes host lost all connectivity to the net and therefore blondes and all the other servers were offline

Aswell as the footie, the vandals who sliced through TV cables stopped the flow of decent superlatives into the region.

NTL spokeswoman Alexandra Legg....

"It couldn't have happened at a much worse time - an hour before one of the biggest games ever."

That's ever, in the entire history of everything ever.

How I might imagine Alexandra Legg would describe the World Cup final.....

"One of the biggest games ever ever ever."

Of course not.
