Ok last 35 of the Tribeca $15k g'td. I am in good shape, i have been card dead but have grown my stack through steals etc.

My oppo has seemed pretty solid, except a couple of odd hands like AT all in vs a short stack on a K748 board.... i only really noticed him in 1 pot where he doubled with top set. He since doubled again but i missed how.

have you been very active recently? He maybe thinks that trip Q's doesnt bet here and you are stealing or he may be on the flush draw . Also you have raised pre- flop and he may read a continuation bet. 2 choices flat call and move on a non heart turn or bump it now it . I dont think he reraises with 55 or a bigger q here so probably flush draw . See the turn and pop the full pot.

As jezza says, if you have beeen active, he's probably going for a re-steal in his mind.  He's the big blind, so he may like to defend the, If anything, he may have a middle Pocket pair or ace 5, he's probably called your raise with half a hand and caught the 5.

he prob thinks you must have q to call his ck raise on the flop so is charging the max for you to hit your kicker. Scardy cat I know but prob true.

I quite like this move actually (but I'm no poker master). It risks not getting paid much for the hand if you fold, but it disguises his hand well. No one's gonna put him on the fh or even a big queen. A bet that looks that scared seems like a great way to get paid by a bare queen. Anyone else agree?

Well he doesnt get paid if i have JJ etc. If i have a Q he is always getting my whole stack.

Hmmm... I suppose I's thinking a queen rag wouldn't always lose their whole stack in this situation. If he did a pot builder on the turn, then shipped it in on the river, then the queen rag might start to think they're beat. And you effectively have Queen Rag here, given that it's unlikely he's calling your raise with a smaller queen than than QJ. But to be honest, I'm probably only ever getting away from this if I've got around 100bb's or more, and even then it's only a maybe.

If you'd had, say, 100bb's and he had you covered a) would you have lost all your chips if he had played it slower b) would you have called his (now massive) all in bet on the turn?

It usually works in that either they all fold, or i get HU with 1 oppo with position and they usually just give up
