Correction from earlier. There are still 4 players left on Stephen Read's table, but he still has two thirds of the chips. Commanding lead.

And here's the cheeky chappy now.

No wonder he's smiling!

Rick Dacey is OUT.

A-Q could outdraw Paul King's pocket fives.

3 players left on that table

snoops is getting like a hen-picked husband - they like to exert their power when they are with their mates.

He just plonked a camera in my hand, & simply said "pics - pronto". Ooh-er.

Flushy is OUT.

He flopped a nut flush with Two Diamonds on a three diamonds flop, and then a pair with the Two Clubs turn, but a blank hit the river and Andrew Massey's stood up.

You guys asked for more player reaction on another thread, so how about this?

Flushy knew his opponent had top pair, but was sure he'd let it go as Flushy had been intentionally trying to create a tight image throughout.

Luke Smith's table is down to 2 - Luke has 29.700, & Matey Boy therefore has, obviously, 6,300.

Just 2 players left on Steve Read's table.

4th placer, Rod Macdonnell, raised 1.2k with a 4k stack, Kevin Moore reraised all-in for 10k, takes an age to call.

J-9 v A-Q

A-Q held up.

Richard Murnaghan then took 3rd when Steve raised his big blind from the button with K-3 suited. Murnaghan smooth called, as did his other opponent. Steve won on a 7-6-3-3-2 board, after moving in on the flop and being called by Murnaghan's A-7.

So, heads up, with Steve holding a big chip lead. About 3.5-1

A steaming Ariston is with us & says this.....

"I raise 600 with  , Micky Wernick makes it 1,800 in the BB (leaving 3k behind), I call the 1,200.

Flop comes

Micky checks. I am not sure if Micky is trapping, so I check too.

Turn......  three clubs

Micky moves all-in.

After verbals, and a Pot Count, I decide I have 15 outs & make the call, Micky turns over  .

The River comes

gggrrrrrrr,bkbhkgjvjrtsndrkyrggfnym,,f,umjdx.u6fkg mud,fd,r........"

You asked for players quotes, you got 'em......

Quick question for any1 that's watching. (yep, both of you!)

Who's legs are these?

And no, it's not tikay (although he's clearly street enough to pull it off). This fellow's playing today, Pool 2 in fact.

Guess away....

.............. please................

You said earlier that each table winner advances to day 2...that's 16 people then (96/6)

How does it work tomorrow then? still shorthanded? how do the 16 survivors play it out? down to a final table of 6 presumably but I am intrigued as to how the 16 start out....

Some really big names have turned up today:

Richard Murnaghan (16 letters)

Andreas Olympias (15 letters)

Simeon Zacharias (15 letters)

We are truly honoured.

Paul Parker and Mad Turk have a break from their chatter contest to move all-in on a flop of K-2-3. Both players have K-2.

Choppy choppy.
