You disagree?
We were inept in the first half playing a formation that totally isolated our sole striker and which the team were clearly uncomfortable with.
We improved when Beckham went off injured and was replaced by Lennon. Without the injury this substitution would never have occurred.
The only time through the entire tournament that we started to play like a team was after Rooney was sent off. A sense of injustice among the players did more for team performance than the manager could achieve and we were aided to some extent by Scolari playing without a striker for much of the second half.
If that is one of the best performances that Eriksson 'achieved' then I don't ever want to be reminded of the worst.
