Probably get strung up for it but, Germany.

They seem totally focused.  They work for each other.  Their big names (Ballack) are living up to their reputation.  Their fans are superb.

Home nation for me too ... Couldnt stand the arrogant french mob winning, couldnt stand Portugal winning purely because I want to see Ronaldo cry like a baby when they go out. Couldnt stand Italy winning, they bore me to death, its like watching @rse in the Georgr Graham days.

So now im supporting GERMANY !!  the way they have organised and run the world cup has been excellent (apart from the ticketing policy, but thats FIFA's fault) , Klinsman is an ex spurs player, and the German people have now embraced him, the team, and the world cup as a whole .... Good luck to them.

Germany.   I don't like all the acting done by Portugal, France and Italy.  Although Figo and Thierry Henry are both fine actors.  I like the tackles where the guy gets his chest tapped and he rolls round on the ground in agony holding his face.  Cheesy

I cannot support Portugal after their last two games. Awful cheating *******!

Germany - to see Klinsman jump around like a nutter and to watch great attacking football!

Germany are also the one nation left in it who don't think they are better than they are.

Perfect summary, they too have changed my perception, superb ethics and a great team spirit. Good luck Germany.

France for me, preferably beating Germany in the final.

It would at least atone for one of the great injustices in World Cup history - the 1982 semi-final where Shumacher karate kicked Patrick Battiston unconscious but didn't have a free kick given against him (never mind the booking/sending off) and then went on to be the hero of their penalty shoot-out.

I'm of Irish descent.

I support the Irish football team.

Ireland didnt make it to the world cup.

I dont give a f**k who wins it now, i'm not supporting anyone.

I'm happy though if i get to watch a month of good exciting football............
