The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k. “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi. Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

we have tried a some systems that don't work so at least mclaren can rule them out without 'experimenting' in friendlies.
I for one am absolutely gutted that we played like that and got knocked out by an inferior team.
McLaren is such a negative coach i fear another 8 years of the same kind of thing.

Not much really! He peaked after his 7th game when we beat zie Germans 5-1 on thier own soil and 67 games later with no major tournament, Im sure we can all point our fingers at the ice man and say "Have you actually bought the English National game forward. Sadly I believe not.
I suppose having faith in Owen Hargreaves can be classed as a positive. He looked absolutley brilliant yesterday. I like to see an under fire player proving our ruthless media wrong. Well done Owen.

I agree, Portugal offered nothing yesterday. To be fair, we didn't offer to much either until Rooney went off. Funny how when England are faced with a crisis such as that, tactics go out the window and the boys rallyed together and realy gave it a go. Makes you wonder what Sven actully did as England Coach.

Apart from pocket £25 million not alot, although you cant blame him for missing the penalties. 50K a week and cant score from 12 yards. You dont mind if they are good penalties and the keeper makes a good save but that was just fuc**ng Embarrasing

i dont care what anyone says. outwith robson and ramsay sven is the best manager england have ever had. 3 tournys 3 quater finals. except the lose to N.Ireland he only lost one competitive game as mamanger against Brazil. the other 2 were penaltys.
a bit nieve at times but he done a great job and has left and probably the right time and not over stayed his welcome...
england will be better in years to come for his rein...
altho appointing mclaren is a joke. sven has stedied the ship tightened the defence and shown england and helped the players relise they can win things... now they need a new guy who will be a little more attackin. to build on what sven has done and i dont think mclaren is that man at all.

Time will tell with Mclaren ... BUT he is now England manager and as such should have the support of every Englishman .... I wish him LUCK and the ability to play players in positions that they know and are comfortable with, and hope he instills a desire to kill games off and attack teams in the second half of a football match.
