5-way chop.
I took 2400 and the other 4 all took 3100. They were 'Action' Dave Morton, A N Engell, T Adelaja, and Mr Dunwoody.
This was a good deal for me as i had 58K and the others were all levelish on between 98k-120k. They were obviously scared i would double up and press on
.
Grea comp, great structure, a real hats off to Luton this week - more of the same from the rest of the casinos now please!

I'll watch 425 tomorrow night.
re comp: To be honest, i didn't even think about talking business as i was down to the felt with 8 left then we lost Simon Trumper and Peter longreeknameous in quick succession and i doubled up in the meantime. I then doubled up twice in the next 4 hands and we lost Tony Hakki in the process. With the chips the way they were i just assumed we would carry on and i was ready to fight but all of a sudden Action Dave starts talking business and wants to know what i would take and starts messing about with the money etc as you do. I assessed the situation and the deal was far too good to turn down. The prize structure was fair and i wouldn't have mentioned business as i feel this is up to the chip leader. I like to play and was enjoying the game but at the end of the day we are there to make money and i was being offered 3rd prize when i was odds on to finish 5th (this was worth double my money) so i took it. - i presume everyone else would have done the same. I also took into account that this was only my second ever omaha tournament and the remaining field IMO was strong so i was severely outclassed and outchipped so i took the money and ran.

Yep a good result I must agree, I had to look twice when I saw the Omaha,
so only your second Omaha comp and a money finish you must be a bit chuffed
with that. Out chipped maybe out classed I don't think so.
Good luck for the next one

HOW PEOPLE PLAY AT LUTON WITH NO VENTILATION BOILING TEMPERATURE.
IT REALLY BAD ATMOSPHERE. NOT AS VICTORIA OR WALSALL.OR BLACKPOOL.
ATLEAST YOU SHOULD FEEL COMFORTABLE.

well chuffed!
really enjoyed the company of the guys at the table as well. Everyone playing good honest poker and really gentlemanly conversation during the busness discussion at the end (which makes a change) - never realised what i was missing when i didn't play omaha. really i so much to it - anyone who doesn't play it should give it a go.

Great stuff Junior, particularly as it was only your 2nd ever Omaha comp. Way to go!
And yes, Omaha IS a lovely game, just a shame we do not have more Omaha comps.
Luton have staged a quite magnificent Festival this week, making all the comps freezeouts was a brave move, but it's paid off handsomely.
In reply to "do it", firstly welcome to blonde. Yes, it was a little warm there, but they did try to alleviate the problem by placing Portable Air-Con units around the place. I think they have really done their best this week. All Freezeouts, lovely clocks, starting chips & structures every day, they have "flattened" the payout structure - the first Grosvenor so to do, a free buffet some nights, & the Staff & Management are a great bunch. So, yeah, I agree, it was a tad warm, but hey, we can't have everything, & I think Grosvenor Luton deserve our gratitude for a great Festival, well run,
