Anyone care to advise me on a good all - round site for lowish level ($10-$20) SNG and MTT's

On the SNG's i like a site with a nice clock structure say 10 min levels etc.

Oh and anything but VC as my computer just does not get on with their software.

Many thanks

Betfair have great range of SnG's and MTT's

Also as Tightend says there Sixpac's are legendary, once you play one, youll never look back!

Pacific poker is also good, althought the starting chips are a bit shit -  800 chips

IMHO, the 10 hand STT's always become a crap shoot, the ones with a clock allow a lot more play in ther later stages

Does anyone make a regular profit in the 10 handers?

I find the Ladbrokes  20 hand level games don't become a crapshoot and I turn a reasonable profit on the $20/$30 ones. not in your rande Reddog, but it keeps the wolves from the door.

I too turn a profit at the slowere clock ten handers, though it can be streaky. Personally I find it far trickier at Stars than I do on Party and its Skins. perhaps I get called by fewer margianl hands at stars, certain that is what it feels like. s

The sixpacks are my meat and two veg in the poker world though

How does a six pack work?

Are they just on Crypto skins?

If you look at the 20 hand level STT's on Ladbrokes, you will find that I have my own table, Its called 'RED-DOG' feel free to use it when ever you want Wink

no mate

next trip out is NECS.

If anyone has home tourneys / private games / tourneys / festivals I can attend please get in touch. I'm particularly interested in Student poker events, though I realise it's off season.

a) I recommend the shirts, but wearing the "Dead Money" one does lead to your opponents thinking you are taking the piss!! which actually I am, were I ever to have a score (Adam, watch out for Malc-m's heads up photos  Wink

Red Dog:

b) slower STTs, I was meaning to imply the ones with a typical 15/20 minute or 10 hand clock rather than anything turbo

i also think it is important for me to to have 1500 ish starting chips rather than the 800 or so you can get on some sites

c) sixpaks I think are found only on cryptos (though whether they stay on betfair when they go it alone I do not know). As the name implies its six handed NLHE paying two prizes, 70%/30% from memory.

As a number of the other posts on SNG strategy have implied the way to beat these is to play your monsters big, avoid marginal situations for the first several levels and by then you will typically find six players have become 4. In effect therefore you are 50-50% numbers wise to cash. This is especially the case at levels below $50.

The largest I play is $100+$9 and my ROI over a sample of over 120 (I accept this is probably not statistically significant and variance has to come into play) is 37%

There is a massive difference between a 15 minute clock and a ten hand clock, when you get down to three players ten hands can take as little as 3 or 4 minutes
