Upgraded earlier and for a few hours none of my contacts showed up. This is a known problem but has since been resolved. It seems pretty nice. Better looking and a few new features such as being able to talk to people when offline. Other than that it seems mostly cosmetic stuff like being able to have your name in colour. Haven't found anything particularly great yet.

Jane has had it for a whole (geek) it has caused a fair few problems on her PC. I put it on today and had the same contacts problem, however as soon as i added a contact my list re-populated.

Been using this for a few weeks and didnt get a problem, I think microsoft must have had a database problem. I know I was getting warning messages when logging in saying "server synronisation error: changes to your contacts will not be reflected on other computers or other versions of messenger" but that was a few days ago.

I've had it for ages, well the BETA version.  It blips every now and then.  My main PC hates it, but my lappy is quite partial.

I love being able to chat to who I want, when I want and everyone else thinks I'm offline.  BLISS!

Yep, I've had major issues with it for several months now, like Trace my lappy loves it, but my desktop PC had some real issues with it. I tried to uninstall and re-install it again, but the problems persisted. It got so bad that I had to completely delete anything msn related. Even after all that, I can no longer use any MSN messenger, and have been relegated to stoneage Windows messenger... Sigh.

Apart from the issues on my desktop, I absolutely love the thing! In fact I think all the new Windows Live range is pretty good so far.

I am going to leave this alone then.  I will give it a couple of years until it is so old that a new version has been released.  By doing it that way, there will be loads of "idiots guides" online that I can follow to rid my computer of problems.  It is fashionable to be two years out of date.  I am currently watching the Athens Olympic Games from 2004, after that it will be 2004 European Football Championships.  I have a feeling Greece will do well in Euro 2004.

I tried the Live Mail Jane, but had to switch back to the standard one, it was driving me nuts and took too long to load.

What else is there Live that I'm missing out on?

I also had the new Office 2007, how cool was that! Very slick and a huge improvement to Office 2003.

Did you try the Beta1 or Beta2? If you are talking about 1 I would agree with you, but the Beta 2 in far better and I found no problems with it at all personally.
