Ron 'Mad Yank' Fanelli is currently 11 hours into his World Heads Up record attempt of 72 hours and 3 minutes.

As Ron quite rightly responded when I commented that he was a whole seventh into the record, "Hey, I'm more than a seventh into it my firend"

P.S. I like the really wary look the guy on Bushy's left is giving him as he grins pleasantly away...

Here's Andreas Hagen - just doesn't look like he's enjoying himself.  But I remember him from the EPT in Dublin last year and his play impressed so greatly that he was one of my three Final Tips even though I referred to him as "Guy With Highlights in Visor" at the time.

Slightly more mirthful Scandie Henrik Olander, whose neighbour (leaning out of shot) was muttering something about how the Europeans were always getting their picture taken.  I think the cool poker expression must lie somewhere between these extremes of frown and giggle.

And a super-relaxed looking John Duthie, who obviously rang a bell with a couple of railers, who asked me if I knew who he was...

One more?  Oh, go on then... Mickey and Co. with the sprawling expanse of the 'Amazon Room' as this warehouse is formally known in the background.  This, and the field is half empty, almost...

The rather aesthetically pleasing Jennifer Leigh (pictured below) has been eliminated from the comp after running pocket ladies into a set of ducks. quack quack

The male rail was rather teary eyed as she departed from the room.

Narrowly missing out on Climber of the Day is Noah Boeken - whose 20k or so in mostly low-denomination chips have come back from just 2,000.  "Next time I see you I'll have 200,000...." prophesies Noah.  Nothing like PMA eh, Snoops?

I am truly honoured to have just met Sir Brian McFadden (knighted for his services to Westlifeness)

I was ordering a couple of beers when the guy behind the bar said, "Do you want lime with it?"

I thought he said "wine" and looked puzzled.

"Wine", I replied confused.

Then mi ol' mucka Brian commented, "This guy doesn't want wine, he's Australian"

Australian!!! I can understand the Americans mistaking me for an Aussie, but not an Irishman

Any more tomfoolery like that and that McFadden will finally know what flying like wings is like.

Guns at the ready.
