Wolf Creek is on Film4 later, I fancy watching a film, & doesn't seem to much else on. I don't normally watch Horror, but may give it ago. Looked at some mixed reviews on Amazon. Anyone seen it?

Seriously unpleasant watching, it won a shitload of awards at Cannes I believe but kinda crossed the line of nastiness for no real reason. Totally disappointed due to the fact that dispite the title there wasn't even 1 werewolf. If you thought American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis was a great book you might enjoy it.

well I watched it....it was sick, unoriginal mindless violence. The only good point was the Australian scenery was nicely filmed. 2/10

I read a couple of reviews on IMBD and decided to give it a miss, not a huge fan of horrors and the reports of the sick scenes really put me off.

Terrible film.  I hate films like that, give me a classic film like "Highlander" ( I know almost every word spoken in that movie ) or " Back to the Future" any day over a blood and guts horror movie .  They are so boring and pointless

I got it on video and spent half the time hiding behind my boyfriend a cushion.

Horrible film but the cushion loved it

I saw this film ages ago when it first came out and then went on to write a review for another website...here is that review (you'll probably think its better then the film  Cheesy )

Wolf Creek

A series of events surrounding the true account of one survivor:-  Ben from Sydney, Australia meet up with a couple of British female backpackers and go on the road for a fun packed time. They travel through the outback to Wolf Creek, a giant meteor crash site in the middle of the desert. Arriving at Wolf Creek they spend the day getting drunk and having fun only returning to their car when dusk falls. They are slightly spooked by the fact that all of their watches have stopped and their car wont start.

Their rescuer is Mick, he inspects the car and offers to fix it but theres one snag - the parts he needs are back at his camp. He offers to tow them there where he can fix the car so off they all go. Arriving at the camp some few hours later they are glad that he provides them with a cooked meal and some fresh water to drink. They fall asleep while he begins to work on their car.

When one of the Brits wakes up the next day she is bound and gagged in a hut. She manages to free herself and, leaving the hut, sees the stripped car and Ben’s blood-stained sleeping bag. Then she hears screams coming from one of the other buildings and, peering inside, finds her brit friend being tortured by Mick, the corpse of his previous victim hanging on the wall. She cleverly starts a fire using meths from the camping stove and, while Mick is distracted, sneaks in to free her friend.

We find Ben in a cave nearby, chained and crucified to the wall; the head and torso of a dead guy chained and crucified next to him while vicious caged dogs snarl and bark close by.

Mick continues on his rampage tracking down the two escaping brits and continues his killing spree.

The film itself, is shot very well and Mick's humour even when he's viciously killing his prey is quite raw and dry. In all, a superb tense thriller with brief moments of blood and gore. Enjoyable but not if your planning a trip camping in Australia.

I saw 'the breakup' at the weekend - not one to see if there is any problems in your relationship! A bit of a chick flick. Not seen a great movie sine The manchurian candidate and The forgotten - both surprised me.

I am just about to watch a movie I got out earlier. It is called FIREWALL with Harrison Ford.  I was going to get Casanova, but a woman in Blockbuster beat me to it. I was going to challenge her to an arm wrestle for the right to hire it but she was bigger than me.  She better not try it again, my auntie knows Tai Chi
