Paul Barker was trying to pick someone up on a string bet, but, they do things differently over here.

As long as you don't return to your stack, you can pretty much bet how you like.

I knew that would confuse some of us Brits at some point.

Just to let you know how it's going down at Negreanu's table.

He's pretty much playing every hand, and his table seems incredibly meek.

except for this one guy, who is doing the extreme with the view that 'If I don't play any flops with him I can't be outplayed'. A Kill Phil strategy I suppose. I don't get it personally, but this is what happened.

Daniel raised from Trap 2 for 500 (blinds 100/200) Mateyboy on the button moves all-in for 7.5k (!!)

Guess what, Daniel folded. Could be a frustrating day if every does that and Daniel doesn't pick up any hands.

Anyhow, he's doing well with 22,900

I just looked on Cardplayer.  It says that people can still enter until tomorrow.   I thought all the schedules would be set already, tables, timing, etc.   It's a real pity I have to clean out my garden shed tomorrow.   Still, there is always next year
Paul asked me to sort out a babysitter and fly out Monday to Friday............... gonna pull a babysitter out of a hat !!!  Sad

If you only had 4 kids i might have taken you up on that - nowt else to do now Cry

6 kids a bit too much for one monkey though!!

Neil Channing is currently on 12,475

On his table, two guys managed to get their chips in with J-T and J-Q

The board was 9-Q-3-8-T

Chop chop

UL Matt....

Come on the reamining blondies.

Looks like Dales holding his own.

To say he's a confident lad would be an understatement.

German update now:

George 'The Panzer' Danzer (Barcelona EPT semi-finalist) is on 16,500

Meanwhile, Jan Heitman (runner up to John Kabbaj at the Vic) is OUT after calling a seven k river bet with a eight set of eights, only to find his opponent sitting there with a rivered flush.

Sitting just two seats away from one another are Phil Cooklin (regular Luton player - TightEnd should know him well) and MAd Marty Wilson's half (apologies, not sure of the forename).

Anyhow, the former has 11,325 and the latter has 12,250

They often talk about 'same village', but this is more 'same shop'!

Jennifer Harman survives after moving her shortstack all-in against Mateyboy.

Both players turned over Pocket Jacks.
