Chris Moorman is OUT.

He raised with A-J in early position only to find two callers, one of whom was nicely chipped up.

Chris bet 2.4k on the A-Q-2 flop, Mateyboy called.

Jack hit the turn and Chris check raised all-in only to find his oppoent sitting there with Pocket Deuces.

Brian Wilson has moved all-in with Pocket Fours, Eights and Nine. Each time they went uncontested, but he's given railbird Cupcake three heart attacks.

Simon Trumper doubled up his shortstack when he moved all-in with Pocket Nines.

"I hope we're racing," said Simon to his opponent.

To his delight, Mateyboy flipped a lowly Pocket Fives and Simon's hand stood up.

Dan Samson has been up and down like a yo yo.

From 27k to 1k, and now back up to 7k.

"I never tilt," he cliams.

Right, that's me done for the night, I'm leaving you in the capable hands of Jen for the last hour or so.

Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.

Bumped into a sheepish looking Chris in the hallway, who says he doesn't know what to do for the next week... I think the disappointment will  wear off by tomorrow, and the fact that he's swimming in poker take over...

Well .. thats not good enough snoppy, what did you do in the break ??  did you hoover the main arena ? did you personally walk every competitor to the toilet so you could get their name and their chipcount ??  Did you empty all of the bins and sweep the tables free of dandruff ??

I seriously hope you didnt use the break to grab a coffee and kick your flip flops off for 5 minutes ...heaven forbid !!!

Ps. Is Mateyboy still in ?

p.s. Morning folks

for the beagle for holding the fort this morning - we're going to do more of a shift system type deal tomorrow so he can fully recharge.

There would definitely be nap-gaps in the continuity of all of our WSOP reports were it not for the stamina of the Snoopy.  I can't thank him enough.  But I'm still his boss, and if I say "time off for sleeping," it's time off for sleeping!

Bhups also told me about his recent "Christmas present" - wildly deciding to go out on a limb and raise to 600 with when a perpetual limper limped one time too many, he found the button calling instead.  But he flopped the nut flush, which was nice.
He bet it out (I like that) and ButtonMatey raised.  Now crossing his fingers that the button had called with some speculative smaller spades, he called, and at this point I can't read my notes, or remember exactly what he told me, but he'd got so much of his stack in by the turn, that he bet the river all-in blind.
ButtonMatey called with and a solid 30k is being maintained.

This nice lady, introduced to me as Chase, won her seat in a bizarre last minute battle of the single tables at a party at Antonio Esfandiari's house.  It's a long story as to how I got there (via a hummer limo, no less) but the knockout satellite took place on these new-fangled electronic live tables.  Imagine a flat TV screen in the middle of a poker table, with little screens in front of each player.  No dealer, just like online, but live - using touch screens (your hole cards are only revealed when you cup your hands over the screen - some kind of sensor 'bends' them up when you shade it).

Anyway, a whole bunch of people gave this unexpected freeroll a shot, and she won it!  Rooting for her.

Spot on, sir!  Someone hand that man a beer.  Kev, not Raymer.

Here's Captain of the Norsemen Rolf 'Woody' Woods, clearly enjoying being on the other side of the press/player divide today.

Good morning Jen and Sloppy.

It's taken me two cups of coffee to read through all these pages of truly fantastic updates.

Great pictures too. I'm really going to miss these when you guys come home but you must be absolutely cream-crackered and in need of a holiday. I don't think either of you two will be allowed to pay for any drinks for a long long time when you get home.

Karabiner...

It's late in the day, and time to award my Climber of the Day Prize!

And it goes to....Richard Gryko (hello Mother Of Richard - he knows you've been up all night)

Last spotted on a different table with a small hill of green and black chips (c.24,000), he's now got foundations of yellows (1k) which put him in contention for the chip leader for day 1c with 120,000+.  No wonder he looks more awake than most of his table.
