Micky Herron was on more, but he lost a 10k+ pot near the end with A-K vs K-K

Meanwhile, Conor's Jacks vs Aces hand was pretty straight forward. Everyone told Conor that the raiser was a maniac, which he might well have been, but this time he had Aces.

Fortunately, Conor flopped a set which held up when all the chips moved in.

It's a strange eerie feeling when they announce the end of the day.

It's as though the whole room exhales a giant breath of relief.

Everyone stops being uptight, mobiles start ringing, people start chattering, a real hustle and bustle atmosphere.

It reminded me of my last day of exams at school.

And of course, as the clock reaches zero, there's that expected round of applause.

Another one to add to the list...

Tony Cascarino -- 28,850

Also worth noting, Midlander Fari Badimansour has made it through to Day 2.

Didnt think Conor would risk all preflop with Jacks and kinda expected he committed once hitting his set nice 1.
I wonder if Marky and Micky have had a last longer.

Will there be updates for day 2?

I'm afraid not. That's us done with this World Series.

Due to a lack of man power, financial resources and media access, we've decided not to continue.

We do not wish to provide low quality updates whilst also becoming slightly wary about our own health.

Imagine playing for 6 days straight, no spare time, straight home, straight to bed, and straight back to the Rio in the morning. Well try that with your feet on the go all day and you'll get an idea of how much it would be asking. If we continued with just Jen and myself, it would be the death of us.

According to Conor, the chips went in on the flop.

Bagging the chips up is like a military operation at the World Series.

The announcer has already threatened to disqualify any one who leaves there seat, and he was deadly serious, even shouting at one point.

I overheard one of the Rio cleaners say, "Just disqualify them all!"

Well, I suppose it would be practical.

I think we need Mad Yank Fanelli...................he managed 72 hours +.........congrats to Ron.........and a big thank you to Snoopy & Jen for a sterling performance over the first 4 days.........looks like we will have to grin and bear it the far inferior and sometimes inaccurate reports from elsewhere<sigh>...............now go have fun Snoops.

And on that note, it's time to wave goodbye.

This is my first encounter with not just Vegas, but the World Series of Poker too and, although it's possibly been the toughest 2 or 3 weeks in my working life, it's also been the most enjoyable. Watching all those hands, meeting so many new people, rubbing shoulders with the stars, and getting to take an innocent peek at all those beautiful women. It's not something that any man should moan about, especially a heterosexual poker fanatic!

So, allow me to take this opportunity to thank both tikay and Dave C for sending me here and Jen for being my blonde update partner, not to mention all the blondeites who tuned in. If you wish to continue following the Series in an interactive manner, then may I recommend that you visit the two Irish lads at antesup.com

Stick a fork in me.

I'm done!
