In Blackpool, after busting a little old lady in a shootout.

"How many times have you played live, you're an arsehole, a f**king arsehole"

She looked like such a sweet woman.

sweet yes, but obviously a really shrewd judge of character.

in tunica, the old guy sympathising with my bad run of luck and outdraws

"please tell me when you are leaving, cos I dont want to be within 20 miles of you out on that road tonight"..

Claw I was just annoyed you popped my pair of 10's with a raggy king Wink At least you checked it down. I wouldn't have said anything if it wasn't a friendly blonde game. A bit of banter is good for the league especially when you had nothing to prove Smiley

I know that Mikky Smiley  I think sometimes I am a bit sensitive to these things as I'm still very much learning the game, but comments like yours actually help because I can take them on board and hopefully improve.  That said - I still think I played that hand OK!

Pfft, lucky flop Smiley In all serious, yes it was nicely played. I bet out the flop and you called (i think) perhaps you should have re-raised but that just tells me you've likely hit, and you do want to be wary of AJ. I wouldn't have played much differently.

Shame you weren't around on the FT as you would have had an excellent oppotunity to give my play a thorougly deserved knocking when I spunked off about half my chips in a hand with Robert.  It's still haunting me actually as I played it appallingly and I think it may well have cost me any hope of winning the league.  Robert - if you read this I would be VERY interested to know what you had from a learning point of view.

sorry - gone a bit off topic there.

Look at your hand history, give me date and time and I will see if it is still there. I will make a single admission, it was obvious you were "At It" so often but didn't have a hand to pull you up with at first. I did try one major bluff with a lot of chips flying about and you folded. I, honestly, don't bluff much but this was one I had to try. You had earlier said you were in need of a 4th place so I played on the fact that couldn't afford to lose on a showdown. So shot me!

Thanks Robert - i'll try to find it.  It's interesting you say that because, I actually played very tight at the final table and don't think I was 'at it' as often as you think!  Probably why I ended up so short stacked.

actually, I'm not going to find it.  At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what you had, I played the whole hand wrong from start to finish - called your pre-flop bet when I should have folded or gone over the top and check folded when, again, I should have led out my putting all my chips in.  I'm pretty sure I was ahead anyway but, as you said, it would have meant putting the chance of winning the league on the line and you were right to exploit that!
