A player raised to 4K, and John Gale called. The other player thought Gale folded, and flipped over pocket queens: QQ.

A floorperson rules that the hand will continue, and Gale can act knowing exactly what his opponent held.

The flop came K95, and Gale bet 10K.

You hold the QQ...what are you thinking?

I am sorry, I do not know chipstacks, blind levels etc at this stage

Assuming I'm not low in chips I would think, I'm pretty sure he doesn't have the king but I'm going to have to fold.  With only 4k invested in the pot your going to look very silly if you call this and he has the king.

If I was the short stack I think I'd close my eyes and push and pray for the fold, no need to flat call because he might end up hitting his hand later.

Interested to see what others say

Have to fold and curse himself for not paying attention.

If he could beat QQ wouldnt he slowplay it? cos he knows exactly when and if he's been outdrawn.

It would depend on any reads i could get plus how many chips i have compared to the pot. The thing is, if Gale hits a monster, he bets, hoping to look like a steal. He hits nothing, he bets, knowing its almost impossible for the guy to call him. He is no longer playing his own hand, he is playing the other guys hand. If i'm deep stacked i would fold and just put it down to me being an idiot.

On a side issue, I assume this is a real hand. If so, is this a standard ruling to let the hand continue? Always thought that if that happened, his hand is mucked and Gale should automatically take the pot?

Or bet on the assumption that you're opponent would assume that you're bluffing.

The person who has revealed his hand cannot bet, he can only call. (or fold)

Antes plus blinds, not to  mention any early action in the hand from limps/small raises.
