How would you do it?

7 handed table, you are in the big blind with 9,300 chips (plus 250 on the table). The blinds are currently 150-250.

There is an early limper plus the button also limped. You have and you check to see a flop.

The flop comes down , you check. The early limper bets out 400. The button raises 2000 to a 2400 total bet.

Before you have a chance to act, the early limper puts his stack onto the table (which totals 2000, just enough to call the original bet so any extra you might put in will create a side pot between you and the button).

If you call the 2400, you have 6900 chips left.

What do you do?

presumable the button havs more chips. squeeze bet, +3000 leaving some for the turn

The button does have more chips, around 11k after his bet, so about 4k more than myself.

Heres my thought process...

The all-in man (out of turn call) is weak, he's played weak all night and now hes fed up. I thought he had perhaps top pair and wanted to double through or go home. The look on his face when I said "hang on I haven't decided what I'm doing yet but your chips are in now" said it all. He has nothing.

The button man is a tad wild, but I know he has something. He also had forgotten about me and when I'm counting my chips he does not look comfortable. I think he has two pair and I say this out loud.

What I did was to push all-in over the top. Now was this the right play? To be honest I want to take this pot right here and now, and I'd rather have it heads up against all-in boy as I know for a fact he has nothing. He looks dejected at the table. If button calls, then I get 6,900 worth of extra value in the side pot for him to hit his four-outer outdraw.

I agree, I also don't understand why you would want to push the button out in this situation?? Why take the pot down now when if the guy is a 'tad wild' you more than likely can milk some more out of him. You can't be playing expecting always to be outdrawn when you are far likely to have a hand that will hold up on that board.

i can only suppose this was fridays hand? like i said to you there u done everything right pretty much u wanted him to make the move but he ragged his win

I wanted the button out. He has hit 3 full houses so far, and I can't help but assume he is going to do it again.

I re-raised all in, and he mused to himself, looks at me and say I think your straight is good. Do I want to pay to see your straight? Ahh why not, I've got outs.

He flips up 78 for top two pair.

Early limper flips up 9 10 for the straight draw.

Turn comes a 7 and its good night vienna.

Yeah. Ignoring the all-in man (as the side pot is the bigger pot here anyway) I am 81% to win against the button matey boy.

With the three players, Im 54% to win the hand, 27% for all-in and 18% for matey boy.

Okay okay, 50p going in the tin!!! I just want to know if anyone would have played it differently and been able to get away when the 7 fell.
