If you're wondering who 'Gregory Alexius' is from the previous chip-count list, well, he's not from around this neck of the woods.

Gregory actually lives in Greece and flew all the way over to er... Luton due to qualifying online at Sporting Odds.

This comp attracts players from right around the globe!

Luke Patten limps on the button, Terry Fletcher bets the big blind, Patten reraises fro an extra 4k, leaving just 1 or 2k behind. Fletcher folds.

Stuart Hill loses just under 3k by calling serial bluffing Ash Hussain down with A3 - The flop was 2 4 10, the turn a 3 and the river an eight.  Believing his pair was probably ahead as his Ace had been on the flop, he called Ash right to the end.  He was shown the actual winner, 68, for his efforts...

Trevor Reardon's Ladies Let Him Down:

Preflop, it limped to him, and a little raise got it heads up between him and Ali Mallu.
Flop:    A little bet from Ali must have seemed like a good opportunity for Trevor, who held .  But the flop had hit Ali's even harder, and it all, unsurprisingly, went in, knocking Trevor out and making Ali even more dangerous.

JP is retelling his tales of woe.

The hand that crippled him went as follows:

Queen high flop with two hearts.

JP has the flush draw and MB holds the Queen.

MB bets, JP calls.

Ten turn brings JP a pair, but no flush. MB makes two pair though with his Q-T

JP checks, MB bets, and JP raised. MB dwells before flat calling.

River came a King, still no heart, but JP moves all-in, trying to represent a staight (J-9), but MB is having none of it and calls (although he did dwell for a good five minutes before finally making the call)

Eric Barker is OUT.

Eric raises to 600, Tony Kendall calls with his Pocket Sixes, and Ali Mallu makes it 3,600.

Eric moves all-in for another 4k, Tony folds, and Mallu calls.

Eric flips A-K and Mallu shows...

8-3 off

4 clubs on the board and Maullu takes it down with the 3 of clubs.

Matthew Ansell and Dixie Dean see a flop of three clubs

1.5k in the pot.

Dean bets 850 and Ansell folds, showing the Ace of Clubs in the process.
