Don't know if anybody can suggest anything...

Got a friend up Friday night who doesnt play much live poker.  he is coming to watford - and we have to be in Newcastle Saturday.

We want to play Friday nite tourne - Gutshot is a bit cheap at £10 rebuy andLuton a bit rich a £250 freezout.  Anywhere else up the M1 between Watford and Newcastle that has something around £20-£40 rebuy or upto £100 freezout Friday nite - I am not familar with all of the schedules.

I don't ask much!!!

... or a £50 SnG at a motorway cafe on the Northbound carriageway of the M1?

There is a £20 rebuy at Banantyne's casino in Newcastle. The tourny is a one off that the casino has put on as a 'private' event for P4C. I believe (but maybe wrong) that you can enter up to 11pm. For the exact nature of the tourny I suggest anyone interested PM 'portfolio'.

Sorry if that sounded flippant  Roll Eyes

To be frank I don't know what the dickens I am doing Friday. I have a room booked for Sat and Sun but a noon start for the comps means either an extra night or a very early start on Sat, I am inclined towards the later to avoid the bank holiday traffic.

oh poop, I forgot about the Bank Holiday traffic and we're setting off Friday afternoon.

Claypole - you could checkout Sheffield (Grosvenor) for Friday.

Nottingham Gala (Maid Marian Way) - Friday nights is a £20 rebuy (normally around 70-80 runners).

And Notts Gala is only 10 mins off the M1, either J 24 or J25, both are equally convenient.

last time I was at Notts Gala on a friday it was more like100+ runners. 20 rebuy 1st around 2k

great fun loose aggressive game. even a tight player should carry several buying with them.
