10 seater $20 sit and go on ladbrokes

5 people left. Im first to act and have around 1300 chips left. Blinds are 50/100
im dealt

Raise to 350
button (loose, agressive & chip leader) calls
big blind goes all in

its only 200 more or so to call

I decided to call rather than move all in because i was almost certain the small blind would call my all in

flop
 , blank, blank

im first to act, and have 800 left. I decide that if i bet the flop im pretty much pot commited.
I check, he checks

turn
blank

again i check, he checks

river

i feel i still need to check, and the button puts me all in

I fold and he show

the big blind had nothing and was out, so the button took the pot

i felt i played this hand really badly. any suggestions?

If you think he'll call your all-in, then shove it in preflop so you can't be scared off by any cards on the board.

Also, once he checks the flop you can be pretty confident that he hasn't got the Ace, especially with you acting first, so stick in a bet on the Turn to get rid of him. You don't want him outdrawing you on the River.

Move all in every time after th BB pushes. QQ is not a hand you wanna pursue short stacked out of position. BB moves in, excellent! you move in behind and either take the button's dead money or make him make a mistake by calling.

no offense but this is not the way to play QQ.

Why would you not want SB to call your all in? are you convinced he's holding the Aces or Kings? (this is pre-flop obviously) If you are not convinced he's holding AA, KK or AK you want him to call.

I want callers when I am holding QQ. OK, that might just be me...

There is only one overcard on the flop...you have raised pre-flop and therefore you can (fairly) safely represent the Ace. (IOW move all in..) If SB has the Ace then you're out and it's tough luck but you can not EVER give away advantage like this when there is only one overcard on the flop in my opinion. what you have done now is shown weakness (afterall he now knows you don't have the Ace otherwise you probably would have bet it) He shows he doesn't have the Ace by checking it back to you but you have given him a free card and his king hits.

Never give out free cards to players unless you are holding the absolute nuts. (trip aces in this case)...you really want to make people pay for outdrawing you.

If you don't want to commit all your chips with QQ I would like to know what you would commit all your chips with. Pre flop it's the 3rd best hand possible....get them in there next time.

I agree with all of the above with QQ when its been raised up get all your chips in, if matey has AA or KK then your unlucky. I can't see him calling you all in with K Q.

I recommend reading this thread. Was just looking through it when I got dealt QQ. STT, blinds 50/100... Raised to 300, two callers, K on the flop, bet half the pot and they passed. Thanks for the advice, and please can someone write some more of these magic card-predicting threads...
