I have a history of alcoholism in my close family.  This is part of the reason I don't drink, as there is a gene  passed down to descendants which increases their chances of becoming alcoholics. It is terrible to witness the damaging effects of what alcohol can do to family units from a child's perspective. It stays with you for the rest of your life even after being removed from the problem situation.

If you feel you have a problem Boss, I would talk to someone who knows the subject inside out. There are plenty of support groups out there. At some point in the future you may want kids, it is in your best interests and their interests that you tackle the problem now while you still realise you have a problem. In my experience, the family members mentioned above couldn't see there was a problem and in the end they paid the price both in terms of family and life expectancy.

Good luck

I once took Immodium when I didn't have diarrhoea. Ran out of toilet paper and couldn't be assed going to the shop.

Used to use newspaper etc, but that would make my bum bleed after a while, so I had sworn myself right off it.

Immodium seemed like a better plan at the time.

English, not english.

It may not be a proper country, but it is a proper noun.

Fair enough, I just get overly keen to bounce on correcting someone who is in the process of correcting someone else.

I enjoy the irony that England seems to be the country where the worst English is spoken. Nowhere outside of that green and pleasant land have I ever heard this..

"Can you borrow me five pounds till next week."

Which extends to...

"I didn't nick it, he borrowed it me"

Tightend would turn in his grave (if he was dead.)

Tank, i'm just not popular enough to start TWO  new threads in a day so can someone pull their finger out and dedicate a belated thread to Tanks 6000th post.

What was it btw?

I know you know, Wink i dont, but dont imagine you'd let it pass without  some sort of reserved reverent acknowledgement.

Oh bollox, I dunno.

I'll click on thetank, click on see lasts posts by this numpty then work backwards.

EDIT : 'Twas "Nae danger really. You'd be too busy milking the Grey's Sports Almanac for all it's worth to worry about trivial things such as poker odds." on bolt's How Long........ thread if anyone cares.

6,000 isn't really a milestone anyway. It's more of a sign that you may have a problem.
