Next Tuesday, at Aspers Newcastle, the first of the "2006 William Hill Grand Prix 2" Land-Based Satellites takes place. I'm muchly honoured, and a little surprised - no, a LOT surprised - to have been asked by Wm Hill to go along to each of the Land-Based Super Sats & oil the wheels, as it were, using, I'm told, a microphone as an oil-can.

The Boy Thewy will be there, too, (except in Dublin), & you'll be mightily relieved to hear he will not be playing the 4 Land-Based Sats. He'll just be there to quaff plenty of red wine, generally put himself about, & doubtless tell his tales of derring-do. Bobby1 wil be on hand too, doing his Corporate Meeter & Greeter thing, in that trademark 1978-style suit.

I'd be hugely embarrassed if I had to address an audience of 3, so do me a favour & get your butts up to Aspers next Tuesday evening. It's a £100 rebuy, with a £6,000 seat guaranteed, and all excess cash paid out in prize-money.

If you are really good, I may even be able to persuade young Chili to attend as well, she's as keen as mustard keen to play or visit all the UK venues, so that's be kinda handy. She went up to Newcastle Grosvenor a few weeks back & seemed to find a Chili Fan Club almost immediately, so I know she'll be very welcome. She may even play it, if so, when she bets, call her, she generally has rubbish. Trust me, I know.

There you go - Aspers, Newcastle, next Tuesday.

We have further Super's at The Sportsman in London on Tuesday 5th September, The Fitzwilliam (Dublin) on Friday September 8th, & The Broadway (Birmingham) on September 27th. I will remind you about all of those nearer the time. Trust me, I will......!

I don't have the numbers to hand (help, please, bobby!), but I gather the Prize Pool for the overall 2006 Wiliam Hill Grand Prix 2 will come to around £350,000, and thats BEFORE Wm Hill add their £500,000. Thats serious lolly.

If you cant get a note from her indoors to get to the "Live" Sats, you can also qualify online, on Wm Hill, for as little as £2.

The next online qualifier is this Sunday at 19.00, buy in is £120+£10 and there are three daily qualifiers for that at 16.00 20.30 and 23.15 costing £13 each, you can also qualify for these daily comps in sats at 14.00 16.30 and 19.15 for £2.

Oh yes, hands up, yes, this is a bit (a bit?) spammy, but Wm Hill are, in effect, paying the rent here, via their 425 Branding of our Forum, so I hope you'll excuse me on this occasion. (Don't tell the Mods, please).

Anyway, Aspers, Newcastle, next Tuesday. See you there, I hope.

Get yourself down there next week Iron & you'll not regret it, Newcastle is a bonny little town.

We start at 8pm, & you could, if you really tried, be on the 9.15 flight home.

Yes, it sounds like an excellent event.  I will be there with knobs on - so to speak.  Don't know in what capacity be it buyer of drinks at the bar, shmoozer or added value to the comp but looking forward to it.

As Tikay said my first trip to geordie land was only a couple of weeks of ago and had a grand time of it.  They say its friendlier the further north you go (as long as you stop at the border lol), I dont know who "they" are but i can attest to it.  Cheesy  See some blondes there hopefully!

If anyone wants a Live Update of this, let me know, & I'll see what we can do. Jen & snoops will not be available - they need a Post-Vegas break, but we would manage if push came to shove.
