Taking Notes

Online its pretty simple to make notes on players, as most of the sites are enabled with this facility and its easy to check if you have notes on certain players.

When playing live for me everything comes down to mental agility where I try and remember the traits of most players I comes  up against, I never take any serious notes, reason being that its mostly the same people I come up agaisnt especially in the latter stages of tiournaments.

I was wondering if it makes sense to take nots on most players in a live enviroment, I have a few reasons for this firstly I think it may give an edge over weaker players if they thought you where analysing their game at the table, but would it look out of place do you feel if you where sitting making notes on all players.

I remeber seeing coverage of last years WSOP and Steve Dannerman looked at his notes although it looked good for TV I also think his opponent looked worried that he was checking notes on him.

This ain't coherent I know I typing as I think but do any you take notes on live events and how do you utilise these best?

They'll probably just think you're an absolute prat for doing it.  I know I thought this when at the world series a guy pulled out his notepad and checked what he should have done with his 9 9 in midposition facing a raise from his right.

Bandit...If you're at my table feel free to make notes...but it's much better to do it once you get home. your mind is much clearer and the main thing for me is...if you take notes at the table you might miss the one thing you wanted to catch
