please tell me there is no way i can get away from this. im sat here saying to my wife who is watching "i hope he hasnt got AJ, please dont have AJ, it is sick if he has AJ" and so on should i just call all the way. i raise because the other player in the pot could be flush drawing. if i call on the tirn i think he would ship it in on the river anyhow?

No you can't if you play it like this.
why not stick a raise in on the flop? If you don't have the nut straight then I reckon it is wise to try to find out if someone does. I hardly ever slowplay the straight unless it is the nut straight.

If you stick a re-raise in on the flop and then get re-raised or flat called you have a better idea of where you are in the hand.

Ussually of course you'll take this down and you are unlucky when you flop a straight and someone else has a better straight on the flop but you really want to know where you stand...and also don't give any free cards out. what would you bhave done if the turn had been a jack? Make everyone pay for every card...doing that also gives you a better idea what everyone is holding.

after Psychatog's bet on the flop he only has 1700 left if i raise him to say 750 (3x his flop bet ) he has 1200 left to stick it in with do you fold for that?

fair point..in this situation probably not...in a cash game then yes i could.
