A friend of mine has raised a point on this which appears vague with regard to Mansion's website.  He thinks the refund would be in the form of bonus money which would need to be cleared before withdrawing.

I don't trust the claims of the affiliate in Rod's post, who has a vested interest in getting sign-ups.  The Mansion site, however, has the following clause in the T&Cs:

Quote
The withdrawal of any promotion funds will be subject to MANSION withdrawal policy.

This, to me, reads as if the refunds would be deemed to be promotional in nature, and thus subject to being cleared.

Might be worth checking out if you plan to do this.

The withdrawal policy is as below, I can't find anything else anywhere on the site. It appears to only be concerned with validating identity.

MANSION Withdrawal Policy

The MANSION Withdrawal Policy provides for the provision of identification and documentation in order to verify the age of customers and to protect both MANSION and its valued customers from Internet-based fraud.

Photographic ID

Supplying current, valid photographic ID to MANSION is a prerequisite of any MANSION account holder before making a withdrawal for the first time. This can either be a photographic driving licence or passport.  When sending your ID to MANSION, please make sure that your photograph and signature are clearly visible.

Credit Cards

We will also require a copy of the front and back of every credit card used to make a deposit to an account before a withdrawal can be made. When sending us the copy of the back of your card, please make sure that the signature is clearly visible. If you have any concerns about sending a copy of your card, you may block out parts of the card number (along with the three digit security code on the rear of the card) provided that the last four digits of the card number are clearly visible.

ID can be sent to us in one of three ways:

    * via email to customerservice@mansion.com
    * by fax to +350 41001
    * by post to MANSION Member Services, PO Box 1234, Gibraltar.

ID need only be sent once. When received and processed, your account will be updated and you will be able to request withdrawals from your MANSION account.

If you have any queries regarding withdrawing from your MANSION account, please contact us at customerservice@mansion.com.

11. Promotions and Bonuses

11.1    All promotions, bonuses or special offers are subject to these Terms and Conditions and any promotion-specific terms and conditions that MANSION may introduce from time to time in conjunction therewith. MANSION reserves the right, to suspend, withdraw or modify such bonuses or promotions and/or the specific terms and conditions governing the same at any time.

This basically gives them the right to change it as they see fit at any time.

I also find it odd that the terms of the offer specifically include the following:

Quote
To qualify for this promotion you must be 18 years of age or over and have agreed to the MANSION terms & conditions.

Don't get me wrong, it may be perfectly legit and above board as described.  However, if I went ahead with this it'd be a question I'd like a specific answer to beforehand.

With a lot of bookies offering free bets, you may have a bet through rate.  It can be anything from 3 times to 10 times so if you get a £100 free bet, you need to bet £300 before you can take it out - just check the t&c's properly and don't expect to be able to withdraw it straight away.

Tighty, if the selected PM's re American Footy was to come my way, I wouldn't object Cheesy

I am in the process of putting a number of positions on for the NFL season, all revolving around one team who I think will have the best defence the NFL has seen for years.

So not my beloved 49ers then

Steelers have just lost their QB due to an emergency appendix op.

How good is their backup?

and given the +4.5 is fixed, Mansion must be happy.
