Amusing double up for W. Akhtar, who moved his short stack in when it was folded to him (he claimed afterwards that it was blind...)  Hewston found the AK in the small blind and gave his, er, three clubs a spin...

Flop:
Turn:
River: .

Straight.

Big pot occurring simultaneously on the other table - Bernard Litman raised to 4,500 under the gun, called by Gerald David.  Glenn Ashworth takes a good while before passing, and the flop comes:  .  Small bet from Litman; call.
Turn:   Litman bets out 6,000 this time, and gets another call.
River:  .  Thoughtful check from both players, this time:  Bernard Litman shows , Gerald the winning .

Now Glenn pipes up saying he folded AK preflop!  No wonder he took his time...

Tony Kendall has doubled up courtesy of Mark Rayner.

Mark bet 3k with his K-J on a Q-Q-x flop, tikay added another 5.2k with Q-6 (big bling) and Rayner called.

Tikay in Shock Runner Runner Flush to Double Up News Now -

He made his all-in move on a flop of , check-raising Mick Fletcher with his powerful .  The other's hand was a bit stronger than he'd have liked, and after the middle players got out of the way, he got to see the against him.  Standing up now, they both could only watch as the and then the popped out to save the fishy sophisticated Godfather of poker, catapulting him over 40k!

10 min ****************************BREAK***********************  to race off the 100 chips.

Last hand before it, Glenn Ashworth took a 20k pot betting all the way against Gerald David.  The board came and the final 8k bet on the river secured Glenn the pot.

Tikay has just seemed to come to terms with the fact that he now has a playable stack - over 50,000 in fact.  He clearly doesn't like to profit from luck purely, but now that fortune has smiled on him, he'd better just get on with it!

On a flop of , Kendall reraises Michael Fletcher.

It's about another 40k for Fletcher to call, leaving him with around 20k left.

He claims to have a baby monster and then shows

Glenn Ashworth isn't shy about getting his shortish stack involved - firstly he doubled up Andrew Douglas' pushing all-in from the small blind with after Andrew had raised to 5k under the gun.  The Ace came, and now Glenn had to make a move - he chose moving in over the top of John Hewston's 7,000 raise with his .  Hewston had , but the Ten popped right out to cut Texas' stack right back down...
Tablemate John Hockle told John "You are the unluckiest man I've ever seen..." and I'm sure he's agreeing at the moment...

Sharp elimination news now - Gerald David is OUT
Holding on an flop, he must have been fairly happy to shove his chips in, but Mick Fletcher called in a microsecond - he held and had flopped the house!

A quiet exit from Gerald, while Mick got a bit shouty "Come ON! No ACE!" etc. before admitting that this was because "Big hands excite me."
