Miscellaneous questions

1. Is it/are they ( when adjuncts to poker sites ) random number/card generated games?

2. If you play them do you pay rake/a commission? Does the fee count towards gaining sign up bonuses/rakeback?

3. Can you switch the icon off so it is not staring you in the face when you are in a sng etc?

4. Having experimented with $10 as a novelty and lost $1!, I can safely say that to those without a measure of self control online casino games must be the creation of satan!

Not sure I understand the question... yes, you are playing against a computer, not against other humans.  Unlike real-world blackjack, the decks are shuffled between each hand, if that's what you mean.

2. If you play them do you pay rake/a commission? Does the fee count towards gaining sign up bonuses/rakeback?

There is no rake in blackjack.  The house makes money because they have a mathematically built-in edge... it depends on how good/bad you are.  If you play perfect blackjack (there is only ever one statistically correct move, it's called 'basic strategy'), the house edge is less than 1%.  The variance is very high though, with short-term swings of 100 bets not uncommon.

It is possible to 'bonus whore' blackjack for a profit, but it's mind-numbingly boring.  A clever person with the relevant know-how would use some sort of rudimentary automated computer program.

Online blackjack can be profitable if you take advantage of deposit bonuses and never use your own money.

Blackjack online as an alternative to tilt perhaps?

Here's my online blackjack career at Party.

Bet $1 dealt  dealer shows an

Hmmm, split em

  two hearts  and

After splitting 10s against an 8, it would be rude not to double down on 12.

Got a  on my 12

Discretion is the bettter part of valour, so I just hit my 17 instead of doubling down.

Turned out it was a sound desicion, because I bust.

Dealer bust too, my net win was one buck.  Grin

the fools

This is slightly incorrect information because the correct strategy changes depending on the house rules, which vary from casino to casino.  A much better site is wizardofodds.com.

I did play at Party for a while, but the blackjack icon was far too tempting.  It is so much fun.  I was always up far more than when I played poker, but then I would start betting $10 and $20 a hand. That is when I always left the table with nothing  Cheesy

splitting ten's is worse than limping with A2 clubs and calling a huge raise out of position

Yes you're right MrsLime, this one is better for Ub players. I can't say for the other sites.
