Perhaps a snail. I was at Cuzean Castle the other day and saw the Worlds fastest snail. It was traveling at some speed along a wall. At the time, I thought to myself how amazingly talented the snail was. I asked the gardener there and he told me about the species. They are called Helix aspersa ( the gardener called them striped snails) , they are an introduced species( normally found in the South ), they live for around 5 years and they are the Worlds fastest snail.

Aparantly snails can sleep for up to three years, maybe between races.
