I reckon he'll be back playing within a month, and have committed suicde within three.

I bit unecessary I think. I hear enough rubbish about the negative aspects of poker from the media tyvm.

I hope not for his sake.

The ups and downs of his blog gave everyone a vicarious thrill, but developing a gambling problem like he clearly is won't do him any favours.

I hope he forgets about poker, goes and gets a job for a bit and enjoys life that's not gambling big sums he can't afford.

He seems like a good guy, I wouldn't like him to turn into one of the sad stories of poker, 50 grand in hock trying to play his way out of a hole.

That's my opinion. This is a poker forum where opinions are aired. If you don't like it, tough.

How has he got mental health issues?

Because he's a bit of a punter that played outside of he's bankroll?

I'd of been in the mental health unit of my local hospital for the past 10 years if that was the case.

He obviously is intelligent enough to have a decent game.  His problem is clearly bankroll management, and the common sense needed to realise that variance will come into play and that the return may go down as well as up (and your home is at risk if you do not keep up repayments on loans made against it, etc.).

Maybe he needed a mentor, someone who could have showed him that he could have made an excellent living from poker, just not at the ridiculous levels he was playing where is bankroll couldn't sustain him.

His other problem is the fact that he's an everton fan.  In that respect, he is beyond help.
