I've never understood this argument fully.

As I see it, it's like saying to your local corner shop to please put the Daily Mirror and Daily Star on different shelves from the Times and the Independant.

I've tried it, he gives you a funny look.

It may be a dangerous precedent, what's next?

All welcome threads to be banished from the holy general discussion board? All happy birthday and all chirp threads perhaps. I think the excellent community spirit that exists on this forum is in part due to all these seemingly irrelevant threads.

If things get too bad, I guess an On Topic and Off Topic General Discussion board is maybe the way to go. As patman says though, you don't want too many boards if it can at all be possibly avoided.

I think a far better idea is to just ban bradley strider, charmaine, tightend, Claw75, blot pp, thetank and Nemesis.

To what extent can they really be irritating?

I've never really experienced the on line interaction and entertainment they provide,  and think that they're a harmless laugh that serve only to project the friendly ethos of blonde and enhance the welcoming online ambiance they create

I hadn't read this thread before posting my pointless friday afternoon thread, oops. Timing would suggest otherwise, so just wanted to clarify that.

If little things like that annoy you, you wouldn't last 15 minutes with my ex missus.  Cheesy

I suggested to tightend in a PM a while ago that the option to ignore threads/users would be a great idea.... maybe that is what the people want?!   it will put an end to banal threads being created complaining about banal threads being created

On some forums you are able to hover your cursor over the title of the thread and it shows the 1st post of the thread (the authors)

Great idea if you ask me and it does come in handy.
