The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

My favourite thing was thrashing Snoopy heads-up after Jen made me drink every flavour of Aftershock. £100 for me and terrible shame for Snoopy! He he he.

I managed to be a spectacular dealer for Ironside back at the Village, first hand of a friendly HU against chippie leicester,  they managed to get it all in with  for Ironside against chippie's  on a Q-9-J-x turn (3 clubs) and the came on the river... Iron tended not to talk to me after that.... Cheesy

Oh Gosh! so many memories, will have to get mind focused first but, as you started the thread Adam, I will start with the memory of you lot outside the casino as I turned up and you taking ironside's ribbing in good humour, well done but next time, kick him.

BB3 was my first experience of a live comp & I had a great day, thank you.

My memories are thus...

Kev trash talking

Matt's monkeys

IFM drinking something that looked like pints something Black & Purple and calling bets with garbage and hitting

Having a discussion regarding Tikay's age (this was quite legthy)

Simon Nowab talking so fast I could only catch every 3rd word

The biggest memory, however, is of about 160 friendly, happy and loud people having fun playing cards....FANTASIC

Memories from BB3 [warning long post] - all of these are clouded by a certain degree of alcohol.

Sureal start as i arrived to the Village hotel in the middle of a wedding party arriving, all these dressed up guests, that are milling around waiting for the married couple in the wedding car. In the middle of this were various BB3 football players wandering in through the middle (not me but we did look rather out of place). I quickly check-in followed by a look at the Liverpool score (too depressing - i ran away to my room)

I decided to wander to the casino - cant be too far - looked easy on the map, it was OK, only 20 mins or so.

The casino was not open at 2pm but rather 3pm, this left a number of blonde's stuck outside, Ironside being the most vocal (a trend that was to continue). A queue formed to sign into the casino, it appears that it was a shock to the casino that so many new players were arriving, so this took a while, (a 3rd person on the desk may have been an idea).

Got inside and met Kev & Chubbs and aggreed to play my head up game with Chubbs later (the freeroll that DtD blonde league final that I somehow won- HU for $500) - a good start happened when Kev pursuded Chubbs that this equated to £300.

Started the comp with a nice simple starting table of tikay(2 to my right), Snoops (3), Ironside(5) & Rhow to my left. I reraised Tikay off a 9xx flop with my Q9 (he had A9!!) not sure how that happend. Tikay managed to distribute his chips round the table to be out first. The rest of the table would have spoken but Ironside didnt pause long enough for the rest of the table to talk. The big hand on this talbe ocrrured when i have 99, there was  a raise preflop and 3 saw the flop, 9xx -  all of us throw our chips in the middle, my top set against poor mrsbat's KK and Ironside (the <()>< ) with the nut flush draw. obviously he hit his flush and i miss the chance to knock him out.

I got moved to another table when this table was broken, my new table had Big Arno to my right and over time we gained Ironside back again, LittlemissC, Chubbs & Maffiafan + others i have forgotten.

I managed to win a couple of races my TT v AJ & a big pot my QQ v AK (sorry I cant remeber against who), this gave me loads of chips to play with. With 3 times the average chips I was suddenly stuck with what i was supposed to do, at this point we need to mention Chubbs's impact on the table, he raised everything and left the table with the choice of playing for their whole stack or too fold, there was a lot of folding. I lost half my chips to Big Arno when my A6 against an over pair, on a flop that gave me a pair and a flush draw.

I got knocked out after blinding down to 4xBB and raised in the cut off with JJ against Chubbs's BB, he asked do I want a call - i said yes - so he hit his K4 on the river to knock me out. I was about 36th and midnight 1 am (ish). So no problem just my HU comp matches and then my HU with Chubbs and then could leave.

Our teams first HU games went well, with me  somehow beating Pab (trip 8's on the flop does tend to help). We did amazingly well with Red-Dog battleing past Chilli, Bain beat Kev, and Flushly beating The Nun (Flushy winning - that cant be right).

I played a STT and managed 3rd - although to go out to a straight flush was a little unlucky when I was rivered by a 1 outer when all in with  JJ over 55.

My next HU round went rather badly when i went all in but lost with top pair on the flop, when my kicker wasnt good enough. The Nun lost, trying to bet Chubbs off 3rd pair!! Bain lost as well which sadly meant that EricStoner managed to lose as a team without even playing a game.

So my HU game with Chubbs was steadily delayed, he kept winning his races with various cards in the main event. It didnt start until 3:30 ish, when i got Chubbs allin with my Ak v A8 to see a spiked 8 on the flop, this was followed by some terrible hands that Kev dealt me, then i was too aggressive when i should not have been causing me to lose (the final hand of allin with T5 v J5 was a tad optimistic), good fun all the same.

I seem to remember walking around the casino with the partial contents of the 4th bottle of champane that chubbs had bought because there were no more glasses left. Then I saw the final hand of the cash game (glad i was not in that)! This was followed by trying to walk back to the Village Hotel with The Tank, Claw & Andrew T (too lazy to wait for a taxi), we tried some creative navigation that led us to a housing estate next to the M6, a U-turn and lots more walking later we arrived back to the hotel. Some time after 5am i gave up being awake and went to sleep.

A great event with thanks to Walsall Casino, & the Mods of blonde for a great weekend.

Owning Snoopy at backgammon!  Cool

Pab walking past Rod and I described how IFM busted him out of the comp with a good play. 5 mins later IFM walks past and Rod tells him Pab's been calling him a fish. Had to chuckle as IFM defended his play. Rod you are evil!  Cheesy
